Helen in the frame for two top prizes
MARPLE photographer Helen Spiegl celebrated a recent award success – and may win another this year. The accomplished portrait photographer won the coveted Equestrian Photographer of the Vicki, Archie and Helen
Year for the second time in the 2020 Xperience Awards held virtually. And Helen has two entries through to the 2021 finals in the first heat in the Dog Studio Portraits category, with Lily, a Cockapoo who lives in Mellor, and
a Staffie named Winnie. The awards, run by The Xperience Group of professional portrait photographers in the UK and Ireland, celebrate creativity in the photography industry. Helen also held the title in 2018, and her latest success follows being named MPA’s (Master Photographers Association) North West Pet Photographer 2020 and Overall Photographer of the Year 2020. Her winning photo was of 20-year-old eventer Archie who twice qualified for British Eventing’s Badminton Grassroots finals. The shoot was commissioned by Diane, mother of Vicki Ardern who has owned Archie for most of his life. Vicki said: “We were nervous about the shoot, but Helen was great.
