Eisenhower Health has been a leader in health care for the Coachella Valley for nearly five decades. Although it originated as a singular medical center in 1971, the state-of-the-art hospital has since expanded and now offers holistic care through centers and specialized programs throughout the valley. Its Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center, a member of the UC San Diego Cancer Care Network, is one of only five National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the state of California. Affiliated with UC San Diego, this academic health system has conducted more than 300 interventional trials (unavailable anywhere else), including stem-cell based approaches and investigative immunotherapy, available to all Eisenhower patients.

The Eisenhower Smilow Heart Center of Excellence is a fullrange cardiovascular health center, recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for cardiac care and a Top 50 Cardiovascular Hospital by Truven Health Analytics. It has also been recognized by U.S. World and News Report as a high performing hospital in aortic valve surgery, heart failure, COPD, and heart bypass surgery.

Eisenhower Medical Center is also home to a neuroscience institute that specializes in surgical and non-surgical treatment of numerous spine and brain disorders. Physicians and the Neuroscience Institute take a collaborative approach with their interdisciplinary team to provide the finest comprehensive care.

In addition to primary care and urgent care, Eisenhower is also home to a specialized orthopedic center. All orthopedic surgeons are board certified and specialize in sports medicine, total joint replacement, and spine, hand, and foot disorders. There is inpatient and outpatient surgical care, renowned joint replacement specialists, and full therapy and rehabilitation services.

Desert Care Network is a large network of expertise, resources, and innovation in locations all across the Coachella Valley and desert region. The network consists of JFK Memorial Hospital (Indio), Desert Regional Medical

Center (Palm Springs), Hi-Desert Medical Center (Joshua Tree), and several specialty centers. It is the largest primary care network in the greater Palm Springs area.

Additionally, the Desert Care Network has a vast offering of respiratory care designed to improve overall quality of life, ranging from pulmonary rehabilitation to asthma treatments, all the way to a “Better Breathers” support group. Here patients can find access to expert respiratory care at all three hospital locations, with a variety of treatment plans for a range of lung conditions and diseases.
