If they are just arriving here, I enjoy learning about where they are from and that typically leads to what they need. The best candidates tend to be people who have an existing phone number to port over.

Nothing beats being prepared. Know the benefits of each plan, what the competition is offering and this will make matching up a plan to the customer that much easier.

It also doesn’t hurt to let them know that even though they’ve made a Multi-Month commitment, they always have the freedom to choose the plan and the carrier. Finally, most of the time it’s up to you to raise the opportunity of a Multi-Month plan; most people are focused on the lowest price on the collateral.
