Put the Unity in Community Grow Your Business with Local Partnerships As you probably know, attracting Customers isn’t just about convincing them to buy, it’s also about building a relationship with them to shop with you exclusively and invest in your local community. When local small businesses partner with other local businesses, it helps create even more of an incentive for Customers to do just that.

Here are some ways to grow your business alongside other businesses in your neighborhood.

1. Cross Promote Your Products You’ll want to promote your business wherever your Customers are going. It helps to know other shops and places they do their business. Is your store next to a pizza shop? Maybe you can exchange flyers, hosting pizza shop flyers in your store and flyers for your store in theirs. Like all the best relationships, the ones that are mutually beneficial last the longest. Consider sponsoring the WiFi at your store by creating a Guest WiFi account or paying for the WiFi at a busy spot nearby, so passing Customers learn about you. Learn more about that here. 10
Partnering with local businesses to pitch in for small events like a street market or block party is a great way to get more foot traffic. Is there a big holiday in a country that your Customers frequently call? Use inspiration like those events to reach Customers who are interested in your product.
Not all collaborations have to be promotions to the public. Helping other small businesses by trading goods or a service can help you both keep costs low with an ongoing relationship. Another option is to come to a referral agreement between you and another business so that you both can benefit from it.
4. Build a Team of Allies Building relationships with multiple businesses in your neighborhood can make it a lot easier to deal with competition when you have a team of allies on your side.
