Lisa Furtado is a San Francisco Bay Area designer who began her residential design firm following a career in clinical research and biotechnology. Her aesthetic is traditionally rooted with a modern edge, striving to balance timeless beauty with fresh, unexpected elements — governed by the design philosophy that “if everyone loves it, you played it too safe.” Lisa is known for layering pieces with historical references alongside modern, unexpected elements to create beautifully curated spaces. Lisa was named an HGTV Designer of the Year in 2020 and 2023, and her work has been featured in Domino, Apartment Therapy, Rue, and the cover of Australia’s Home Beautiful
My Rowe Design
by Lisa Furtado Interiors
A lifelong dream of owning an apartment in Paris became the inspiration for Lisa Furtado’s My Rowe Design, which she translated into a space that showcases an effortless blend of elegance, history and modernity. “I designed this Parisian champagne lounge for friends to gather for a glass of bubbly and good conversation,” says the designer. The seating arrangements are designed around comfort and socializing, featuring a grouping of our spacious Reena Sectional and slipcovered Noel Chaise alongside a pair of Madeline Chairs and Dena Ottomans. “It’s comfortable enough for girls’-night-in,” says Lisa, “and festive enough to meet for a toast before a night out in Paris.”
“Welcome to my champagne lounge in my Parisian pied-à-terre!
This chic lounge features a warm and inviting palette of rich neutrals, blending midcentury influence with old-school French glamour. Rich chocolate velvet accentuates the curves and contours of our Reena Modular Sectional, a sleek and sophisticated choice for this elegant space. Layers of lighting, from a glass globe chandelier and brass picture lights to flickering candles, create an enchanting ambiance that reflects the essence of the City of Light.

I love going to beautiful boutique hotels and bustling, cozy cafes. I love studying the materials, furniture arrangements, transitions, and trying to determine what makes people so drawn to these spaces.
Music to Fuel Creativity
Lately, my teenagers have been playing old-school bands from my high school and college years like Sublime, Oasis, and Weezer. I haven’t told them I’ve been digging their tunes (so uncool if your mom jams out to your music), but I am secretly loving their current playlists.

C&E Furniture + Design
Katie Winnington Fenwick Island, DE @cefurniture
C&E Furniture + Design is a third-generation furniture company turned award-winning retail showroom and full-service interior design firm. Based in Fenwick Island, Delaware, C&E is focused on curated interior furnishings as well as new builds and large-scale renovations, with an emphasis on crafting effortlessly lived-in spaces. Over the years, principal designer Katie Winnington has refined the shop’s style into what they call Coastal and Elevated — featuring muted tones, boundless texture, and clean lines all inspired by the coastal lifestyle.
My Rowe Design by C&E Furniture + Design
Katie Winnington aimed to create a space for an individual or family who values both style and function with her My Rowe Design, achieving a balance between contemporary silhouettes and warm, tactile materials. Natural light, layered textiles, and a mix of organic and refined elements drive the overall aesthetic. This comfortably chic space highlights the contrast between modern sculptural wood — the Cassius Chair, Dune End Table and Dune Desk — and the plush luxury of velvet and chenille.
“Rowe’s craftsmanship brings both comfort and structure,” explains Katie, “making [these pieces] the perfect anchor for the space.”
I wanted to create a space that feels effortlessly stylish yet inviting.
At the very heart of the design is Katie’s favorite Rowe selection — an appealingly oversized Freya Sofa, slipcovered in a light taupe linen. Generously sized at 110” and offering the soft, lived-in feel of linen, Freya is the perfect centerpiece for this warm and inviting gathering space. When imagining the way her design might come to life in the real world, Katie envisions a family who values laid-back quality time together. “They host intimate gatherings,” she says, “enjoy cozy evenings by the fireplace with their kids, and appreciate a space that transitions seamlessly from relaxed mornings to evenings with family.”

My Rowe Design by Gray
Benko Home
Cozy evenings with loved ones were the inspiration for Gray Benko Home’s My Rowe Design. Gray and Chelcie envisioned an everyday space for everyday life — “somewhere you can plop down on the sofa, light the fireplace on a cold night, and really enjoy a glass of wine.” The comfortably-chic Dominic Sofa is a particular favorite of theirs, bringing soft-edged modern style into the mix in a light shade of rust. Artful forms and eclectic accents are tucked into every corner of this relaxed yet refined space, which is brimming with color and pattern from wall to wall.
“This
is a space where a family would be watching TV, reading a book, maybe playing board games together in the evening.
The rich palette draws inspiration from the wallpaper, an original Gray Benko Home design in bold burgundy with a hand-painted floral motif. “The wallpaper helps define the woodwork and elevates the entire room,” say the designers, “[and] we wanted to showcase it in a way that would complement the beautiful Rowe pieces.” A striking Heywood Wing Chair in bottle green chenille adds a bold note of color, while a pair of Dena Cube Ottomans in navy velvet and other blue elements beautifully accentuate the deep red and delicate blues of the iconic wallpaper.
