My Rowe Design by GreyHunt Interiors

The goal for this modern yet romantic space was to blend luxurious style with some of Sallie’s current favorite materials, such as velvet, gold accents, and graphic wallpaper. With a playful and refined feminine spirit in mind, Sallie focused on a palette including delicate pinks and bold black, with gold highlights and patterned details that create a soft yet high-contrast aesthetic. Punchy, graphic wallpaper delivers a little edge, infusing the space with abstract patterns inspired by natural textures such as marble and shagreen. Overall, says Sallie of her strikingly stylish space, “the look is large, but the design is livable luxury.”

DESIGN RULES

Design in Good Taste

Mix it Up

Don’t be afraid to mix metals, patterns, and styles

Don’t be Boring

Design a Livable Space

Play with Contrasting Colors

Inspired by the idea of a powerful modern woman who loves to entertain, Sallie turned to some of her own best-loved pieces to make the space shine. “I wanted to bring the room to life with favorite pieces that I have used for myself or projects,” the designer says, “to create a cohesive space in a new light and vision.” Curvaceous elements play a large role, from the gentle arc of a pair of Neoma Benches to the soft contours of the Cleo Ottomans and Ophelia Chairs. The 96” Grady Sofa is a large-scale knockout dressed in classic black velvet, offering plenty of seating room for guests to gather at cocktail hour. Our Ellice Lounger, a favorite pick of the designer’s, makes a lovely counterpoint to the sofa in pale blush velvet. The result is a welcoming space with fashion-forward charm.

My Rowe Design by Amy Pigliacampo Interiors

The inspiration for Amy’s space stemmed from her extensive background in fashion, the source of a “deep affection for textiles” that often influences her designs. A largescale Dimitry Sectional Sofa anchors her My Rowe Design space, showcasing a patterned fabric in deep earthy hues that feels both intense and welcoming. “In my work I often seek out bold colors and patterns that might be intimidating to clients,” says Amy, “and find ways to make them relatable and calming.” A palette of warm neutrals and rich shades of umber and rust delivers a moody, modern organic vibe influenced by iconic late midcentury elements.

DESIGN RULES

Imagining who might inhabit her space, Amy envisioned it as a vacation retreat for a busy family. “Since they have a robust guest cottage, they invite friends to stay with them often,” she says, “and this is where the adults hang after the littles have gone to bed.” A pair of Leander Swivels in a rust velvet fabric provide additional seating for a space that’s family-friendly, yet sophisticated enough for adult gatherings. The organic wood grain of our Theory Cocktail Table and natural stone accents combine to create a sense of laidback retro luxury where a family can kick back in style.

My Rowe Design by French & French Interiors

Autumn afternoons by the fireplace were the vision that inspired Heather and Matt, who imagined a young family snuggled up with one another on a blustery day. “They [would] lounge on the cushy sofas, read in a chair by the fire, or play cards on the tufted ottomans,” say the designers. Their My Rowe Design incorporates a pair of large 90” Madeline Sofas that offer plenty of space to spend the afternoon talking, laughing and playing. With a Hannah Chair and Ophelia Chair also in the mix, there’s more than enough soft seating to go around, and “this space invites true relaxation and leisure.”

Offering all the warmth and comfort of a cozy fall sweater, the use of textured fabric and plush velvet in rich jewel tones gives a relaxed and tactile feel to Heather and Matt’s My Rowe Design. “We love how the deep, saturated colors…evoke a moody and stately atmosphere with a modern flair,” they remark on the dark wallpaper and generous number of throw pillows. Bold choices such as the blooms-on-black wall pattern and a collection of brass accents add just a hint of sophisticated edge to this otherwise easy, laid-back lounge space.
