The fishing village in Babakan Village emerged as a result of the 2006 Pangandaran tsunami, which destroyed several fishermen’s se lements. Consequently, the current fishermen’s se lements are located near the Cikidang Fish Landing Base (PPI) in Babakan Village, Pangandaran. PPI Cikidangserves as a mooringfacility for fishermen’s boats. However, revitalisa onis needed to enhance the produc ve economic ac vi es of fishermen and the fishing village area. This revitalisa on aims to reinvigorate the fishing area and a ract both local and interna onal tourists to the new tourist des na on in the PPI Cikidang area. The revitalisa on approach should incorporate local wisdom to create a dis nc ve impression and highlight the cultural characteris cs of the fishermen's area, drawing from tradi onal Sundanese cultural forms to strengthen the site's image.
