The Book of Revelation: the final book of the Bible. Perhaps the most recognized, yet least understood part of the Bible for both believers and unbelievers. Most are fascinated by its imagery, yet they are convinced no one can understand this prophetic book. The result: most do not try!

It is a book of prophecy that declares the events, in detail, of the time coming which is called the “Day of the Lord,” or the end times. Of all the books in the Bible, it is the only one that declares a specific blessing for those who study and obey its words: Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and heed the things which are written in it; for the time is near. (Revelation 1:3) The purpose of this book is to present a clear and succinct presentation of the events and background of chapters 5 through 20 of this prophecy and related passages, such as Matthew chapters 24 and 25 and Daniel chapter 9.

The approach is: • Literal: what do the words mean?

• Pre-millennial: when do the events happen?

• Chronological: how are the events arranged??

• Simple: The language is easy to understand.

• Encouraging: strengthening the church.

• Preparing: helping believers to get ready.
