We all love white but it doesn’t have to be boring –there’s so much you can do to bring life into the space. But how, what and where do you add a touch of color.

Subway Tile

Tile has a place in many bathrooms and if you’re like me, I’m a do-it-yourself kind of gal. Installing subway tile, especially if it has the built in spacers, is super easy to do. Think about tiling just half way up the wall if you crave a unique look or add a pencil border if you want a little more spark. Adding silver or gold accents in your tile can add a little more dimension and pop too.

Personally, I love working in animal prints. Unique Shapes

Shapes add an interesting element to any room, especially bathrooms because the space is typically smaller than most other rooms in the house. Experiment with arched mirrors or swap in builder-grade light fixtures for interesting geometric shapes. Wainscoting with picture frame molding adds luxury wall dimensions. If you’re looking for more of a farm-type appeal, add some shiplap to the walls.

Greenery and/or Natural Tones

Soften the room with greenery for black-and-white spaces. Add a natural color or clear vase to bring the outdoors in for a peaceful touch that’s greenhouse like. Earthly elements such as light wood pieces can make the space feel more outdoorsy.
