As we approach summer in the Middle East, there have been multiple developments in the political and economic front, which will impact businesses in the region. While most of these developments are not within our control, improving organization efficiency is within the control of business owners in the region. The saying ‘doing more with less’ is more applicable than ever today when the IT and Smartphone industry is facing a pressure on demand, margin and availability of credit.

In today’s scenario, while few companies manage to show topline growth, the emphasis is on increasing profitability. While margins remain constant, one area to show increase in profitability is by reducing the G&A (General & Administrative) costs. This requires an examination of G&A costs by identifying tasks, which are repetitive or do not add value in the process and automating these processes. The purpose of the review is to identify the percentage of tasks, which could be automated to make the company operationally and economically more efficient. As the cost of technology falls and capabilities grow in areas such as machine learning or robotics, the economic case for automation is improving rapidly.

I encourage our partners to review their G&A functions and identify areas which can be readily automated thus improving productivity for your organization.

ALIENWARE AREA-51 Alienware’s latest Area-51 is a high-end gaming desktop that uses a triangular case to quietly move hot air out diagonally and away from the interior.

The desktop device features myriad components including the Intel Haswell-E based Core i7 CPU and three Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics cards. The device also has ample room left for future expansion. benchmark tests.

According to Alienware, the design of the machine is different from a conventional desktop chassis design. Instead of a rectangular box, the system is an irregular hexagon, with three short sides and three longer sides. The domed left- and right-side panels are bright silver, while the back and front panels are black plastic with slats for cooling. It’s a large case measuring around 22.4 by 10.75 by 25 inches.

How are parental control features enhanced?

We have enhanced the Safe Kids offering in the latest of the Internet Security and Total Security products. What defining shifts are you seeing in terms of consumer preferences from among your various security product editions?

Right now, KIS is definitely our flagship product.

Consumers are asking for Internet Security than just Anti-Virus. They are well-aware of the need to have Internet Security, a much different scenario from two years ago. What is surprising though is the greater growth in demand for Total Security and the demand is growing faster than we had seen for Internet Security in its initial phase.

People are opting more for Total Security and the advanced features of Total Security are becoming more relevant with each passing day. For instance, Password Management is a huge concern for users and especially with services of many large vendor being hacked and the passwords being leaked to the market. It is a very common bad practice among users typically to have the same password across devices. This is where password management is going mainstream.

Password Management, backup, encryption and Safe Kids are among features that sets Total Security apart. The price differential between Total Security and KIS is not much. In terms of awareness, early adopters are up to speed. The awareness is now reaching across mainstream segments. Our POS materials drive the awareness and we are seeing positive results.

Can you discuss trends across retail and channel in UAE and KSA? UAE is the hub and has been the growth driver in terms of channel and retail business. Quantities of sell out in KSA has been stable. There have been some concerns from resellers in terms of credit. This is part of the challenges but has not been detrimental to sell out volumes.

Our presence in power retailers in KSA has been strong like in the UAE. The channel in Saudi is pretty strong as well in terms of coverage across the country, given the fact that the country is huge.
