Research Australia Collaborative Strategy 2023 to 2026

Page 1

For more than 22 years Research Australia has been successfully advocating for effective, long term and sustainable outcomes for Australian health and medical research and innovation.

Research Australia has a unique position as the only peak organisation to represent all stages of Australian health and medical research.

Some of our achievements include:

• Securing bipartisan support for the National Strategy for Health and Medical Research

• Representing the health and medical research community on the Government’s Women’s Health Advisory Council, an initiative announced by Minister Kearney at the 2022 Research Australia Awards

• Creating the $700m MRFF Frontiers Fund

• Securing the inclusion of research in the 5th National Mental Health Plan

• Representing health and medical research in a successful sector-wide push to improve the R&D Tax Incentive

• Launched Parliamentary Friends of Health and Medical Research as a significant platform for our sector to engage with our policy makers

Research Australia’s consulting team supports members, governments and the broader health and medical research sector to navigate complex policy and funding environments; develop unique reform approaches and strategic pathways to high impact opportunities. The organisation’s decades of structural knowledge and strength of relationships with governments enable tailored projects to drive significant outcomes.

We invite you to join us as we continue to maximise the impact of all stages of health and medical research and innovation.
