Carson City ghost Walking tours

Explore Carson City’s haunted history during monthly Ghost Walking Tours through Oct. 2. The guided tour takes attendees to historic homes and businesses in downtown Carson City. Some of the outside stops include The Bliss Mansion, Ferris Mansion and Rinckel Mansion. The 90-minute tour leaves rain or shine. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the walk begins. This month’s tour departs at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, from 3rd and Carson streets next to the St. Charles Hotel, a.k.a. Firkin & Fox Pub. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. The 17th annual event features plenty of European beer, food from Germany, Italy, Ireland and Spain, 40 craft fair vendors and live music. Celtic rock band The Young Dubliners will hit the stage at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 5-6. Brother will precede The Young Dubliners’ show with performances at 4 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday. strEEt Vibrations spring rally

The seventh annual event features live entertainment, bike races, ride-in shows, poker runs, scavenger hunts, more than 80 vendors, VIP parties for participants and more. The rally is open to all bike models. Although most of the events will take place in downtown Reno, Chester’s Reno Harley-Davidson will host open houses and Virginia City will host a poker walk, live entertainment and more during the weekend. The inaugural event features screenings, special events and awards receptions at the Siena Hotel Spa Casino, 1 Lake St., and additional screening locations, including Galaxy Luxury + IMAX Theatres in Sparks and Century Riverside 12 in downtown Reno and the Tahoe City Art Haus in Tahoe City, Calif. Visit with wolves Monty and Reyna and other wild residents at the Animal Ark, then listen to a presentation about wolves. The event closes with a live wolf howl. There will be a contest for the best human howlers with prizes awarded for the champion child and adult howler. The event begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at the Animal Ark, 1265 Deerlodge Road, about 25 miles north of Reno.
