Artemesia Moviehouse presents this 2011 French animated film involving a rabbi and his talking cat. Set in Algiers in the 1920s, a rabbi’s cat who learns how to speak after swallowing the family parrot expresses his desire to convert to Judaism. Based on the graphic novels of Joann Sfar, the film was the winner of the 2012 Cesar Awards for Best Animated feature. The movie will be presented in French with English subtitles. Teen Art Night: Wild Things

Teens are invited to this all-ages night which is inspired by Maurice Sendak’s beloved children’s book Where the Wild Things Are and the Spike Jonze film based on the book. The event features music by the Third Wheelers, American Goodfellas and DJ Nick Rattigan, hands-on art projects, an interactive photo booth and more. Teen Art Night is presented in partnership with The Holland Project and the NMA’s Youth Arts Initiative. The exhibit Maurice Sendak: 50 Years, 50 Works is on display at the museum through April 27. Robert Brady: The 8th Trough

Stremmel Gallery presents Robert Brady’s exhibition of new works featuring his latest explorations in mixed media sculpture, ceramics and works on paper. The title of the exhibition is a play on Nevada’s Seven Troughs region in Pershing County. The Reno-born artist often names his works after his experiences and discoveries in remote and familiar parts of the Silver State. The opening reception will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Thursday, March 20. The exhibit will continue through April 19. Stremmel Gallery, 1400 S. Reno Psychic Fair/Spiritual and Wellness Fair

The two-for-one event is geared toward reconnecting with your body, mind and soul. There will be a variety of psychic readings, energy healings and natural health seminars taking place, as well as alternative health and gift vendors on site through the weekend at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, 4590 S. Reno Chamber Orchestra

The chamber orchestra presents an allBeethoven concert led by Maestro Theodore Kuchar. The Argenta Trio, the University of Nevada, Reno’s resident chamber ensemble, will join the RCO for the Triple Concerto. The program includes Symphony No. 4 and two melodic shorter works, “Turkish March” from The Ruins of Athens and Romance, Op. 50. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, and 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, at the Nightingale Concert Hall in the Church Fine Arts Building, 1335 N. Virginia St., at UNR.
