JUL/8:DUSTBOWL REVIVAL Artown’s Monday Night Music Series kicks off with a concert by the Venice, California-based, eightpiece band Dustbowl Revival. The group garnered critical acclaim early in its career for its vibrant mix of vintage Americana sounds. The Los Angeles Times wrote the band “would have sounded utterly at home within the hallowed confines of Preservation Hall in New Orleans’ French Quarter.” But over time, the ensemble’s music has evolved into a more soulful, funky sound as heard on their latest album. Dustbowl Revival will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, July 8, at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater, Bartley Ranch Regional Park, 6000 Bartley Ranch Road. Admission is free. Call 322-1538 or visit artown.org.
