year’s career fair will have more than 30 employers signed from Nevada and nearby California and Oregon communities and a few other states.

Employers will be seeking candidates for positions, including teachers, principals and deans, counselors, speech pathologists, nurses, substitutes, bus drivers, classroom aides and more. PROJECT: Between 1985 and 1995, Steve Davis documented the open lands remaining in the Truckee Meadows, including Double Diamond Ranch. Davis photographed agricultural remnants scattered throughout the valley as well as parks, ruins and abandoned places. Davis will discuss this and his Childhood Memory and Sense of Place project, which collected childhood memories about place from local residents. W, 4/27, 7-9pm. Free. Teen Art Night

The Holland Project’s annual takeover of the Nevada Museum of Art is a chance for teens to immerse themselves in art, music and creative fun. The evening features hands-on art stations in silk screening, leather stamping, wood burning, DIY bolo ties, image transfers, buttons, stamp making and embroidered ball caps. Other fun attractions and activities include a photo booth, a racehorse name generator, rope tricks, live music from Pecan Sigh, Applied Ethics and a mariachi ensemble. DJ Peachsprite will spin tunes and hip hop artist Yung Milkcrate will make an appearance, too. There will also be ice cream and savory creations made by students in Hug High School’s culinary program. The art museum’s galleries will be open for the event.
