Renato Doraci Civil Engineer & Designer - RED Project Hi, I am Renato Doraci, a civil engineer from Albania, raised in Greece. My work moves between large-scale projects and smaller, more intimate interventions, always guided by hands-on experience on construction sites and a deep understanding of how the built world comes together.

Through RED Project, I share my thoughts, experiment with ideas, and explore ways to make them visible. Each project is a moment of exploration, a reflection of how I see and understand the world — and, at the same time, a way to leave a personal mark.

KISIRA CONCEPT STORE | SANTORINI 2025 - March 2026 The Kisira Concept Store is a fashion and luxury concept store located in Santorini, part of the Gavallas Retail Group, which has been active in the industry since 1991. The store was created by unifying three separate spaces into a single retail environment.

The design draws inspiration from Cycladic architecture, incorporating domes and arches that create a cave-like spatial experience. The use of white as the dominant element serves as a neutral canvas, highlighting the vibrant products and the liveliness of human presence.

LIVING SMALL | ATHENS 2025 – March 2026 "Living Small" is the renovation of a 50 sq.m. apartment in Piraeus, next to the Faliro train station, featuring two separate entrances. Since the apartment lacked natural light, we decided to remove the walls and make it as bright as possible. We created an open-plan layout where the kitchen, living room, dining area, and bedroom blend seamlessly, making the home feel much larger and more comfortable.

To give the space its own character, we played with color contrasts and modern materials. We combined bright surfaces with dark, perforated cabinets that add visual depth without making the room feel heavy. Instead of building walls to divide the areas, we used different floorings, like the striking terrazzo. The pink details in the kitchen add a fun, unexpected touch, while the bathroom was designed with darker tones and hidden lighting to feel like a relaxing spa.

Essentially, we managed to turn the drawbacks of a small, dark apartment into its biggest advantages. The result is a modern, practical, and beautiful home that proves 50 sq.m. is more than enough when the design is smart.

HOLIDAY HOUSE | VOLOS 2025 – March 2026 Located in Amaliapoli, a serene coastal village near Volos where the landscape gently transitions between sea and Mediterranean greenery, this two-story residence redefines contemporary vernacular architecture with subtle elegance. The building combines exposed stone masonry with clean white volumes, creating a balanced composition that resonates with the local architectural identity.

The recent renovation of the ground floor focuses on establishing an open, light-filled living space that seamlessly connects to the outdoors.

Large openings allow natural light to flood the interior while reinforcing a strong visual and functional relationship with the courtyard.

Outdoor areas are designed as natural extensions of the house, featuring seating zones, soft landscaping, and earthy materials that enhance a sense of calm and privacy.

The interplay of stone, wood, and refined metal details results in a composition that bridges tradition and modernity. Clean geometries, shaded areas, and semi-outdoor spaces contribute to the building’s bioclimatic performance, responding to the mild climate of the region. Rather than dominating its surroundings, the residence engages in a quiet dialogue with the landscape, offering a refined and tranquil living experience by the sea.
