Have You Ever Attended A Women’s Council Of Realtors® San Antonio

Talk about Networking! One of the pillars of Women’s Council Membership is networking; and this time, we took it to the next level at our Membership Mixer “Spring Bling” April 13 at The Cottage Irish Pub.

We welcomed members, strategic partners, future members and future business partners to participate in a speed networking activity (similar to speed dating but the business version). This activity allowed all to interact with one another to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.

After getting to know each other a little more; we had our strategic partner Elvia Williams from Your Time Home Inspections do a round table activity called “Celebrity Heads”.

In this activity the guests were put into groups and given an index card with the name of a celebrity and then given 5 mins to come up with the following: 1. The name of their band 2. What celebrity each person was 3. Which celebrity in the group just made the news and why? 4. The name of their HOT #1 single and event “Make it Rain in Real Estate” which took place this last May the 4th at San Antonio Board of Realtors and was such an empowering event where we had a panel of all female entrepreneurs/investors that vary from many years of experience to some who just started. This event was ideal for everyone who is thinking about investing in real estate but isn’t sure where to start and/or wants to learn how to work with investors in Real Estate. The panel demonstrated how to build multiple streams of revenue by flipping homes, short term rentals (Air B&B), wholesaling, private lending and the importance of running a successful business.

This year, our membership is growing faster than anticipated and in this volatile industry we find ourselves having to make changes in our business models and when working within the network women are finding all sorts of ways to make additional income, to be involved in various roles of leadership and to become successful entrepreneurs.
