Dear Friends...
I am thinking of you as I write this short note and wondering how you are getting on during this pandemic of COVID-19? Right now, our world is filled with spiritual battles and we are simultaneously fighting on different front lines. It is true that life is not without its everyday problems, but 2020 has certainly proven to be a very difficult year for so many people in our world. Many of you have lost loved one’s, jobs or businesses. My heart goes out to you. We are standing with you in prayer and believing for miracles in 2021! Fortunately, God's word provides us with a clear path to victory. Romans 12: 21 says, ‘Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’ This is what we as Christians need to intentionally be doing; we must be determined to do what the Bible says - no matter what. The way forward is not to allow yourself to reason with your mind - searching for endless logical solutions. But to learn to lean into the safety and security of God’s living Word, to dwell in His Presence and His arms of love and compassion, where you will be comforted and encouraged. We are always honoured to join our faith with yours to agree with you in prayer. So please, feel free to send us your prayer requests so that we may stand with you in believing God. We love you and God loves you most! Remember - God has not planned any defeat for you. He loves and cares about you. For you ‘..are precious in his eyes.’ (Isaiah 43: 4) In His Forever Love,

So I'm more excited to see how life unfolds but God always places the dreams and hopes in our hearts as part of his plan and purpose. It might not manifest in the way you originally anticipate but it will be better than anything you can dream of!

SEX TRAFFICKING: SPOTTING THE SIGNS Shamefully, there are more slaves now than in any other time in history.
Sex trafficking is a widespread and growing global industry that has been thriving almost un-deterred over the last few years. The earnings of those benefited by this modernday slave trade are said to double the total earning of Coca-Cola, Pepsi and McDonald's combined.
It is thought between 2,000 and 6,000 women and girls are trafficked into the UK alone, to work as prostitutes each year. This

SEX TRAFFICKING CONT'D Some are used illegally for hard labour, but the majority are used to service the sex industry. Almost all women or young girls will have had their travel documents taken from them, been systemically raped, beaten, broken down and intimidated into working as prostitutes, usually after being duped into believing they would be able to start a new life in Britain. As a result, even after women have been rescued from the traffickers, many are too frightened of reprisals on themselves or their families to talk to the police or give any substantial evidence against them in court. After a trafficking journey that typically involves deception and constant threats, victims are often forced to live in confining and unsanitary conditions with several other equally frightened girls or in complete isolation. Once formally put to work, victims can be forced to service from 40 to 110 customers in one day. Malnutrition, sleep deprivation, as well as emotional and physical abuse become day-to-day normalities. In addition, forced abortions and the contraction of STI's, Hepatitis B & C, and AIDS are ever-looming probabilities.
Life for a victim of sex trafficking is in short, hell on earth. Many of these victims come from nations where poverty or lack of work
make
them
susceptible
targets for traffickers. They are promised a new life, jobs with high
wages
and
consistent
support for their loved ones and families back home. However, in reality, most women never see their loved ones again or choose not to return, even after rescue,
due
to
overwhelming
guilt, embarrassment and shame. Some
develop
issues
or
STD's
severe
contract
which
mental
long
shorten
term their
usefulness as sex workers and are therefore abandoned, left broken and confused. Whether
you
are
a
mother,
daughter, a wife or a student – an employee or employer, you CAN make
a
significant
difference
today by activating your faith and stepping out to join hands with your other precious sisters to do something risky yet rewarding.

SPOTTING THE SIGNS Do you suspect that someone you know is being trafficked against their will? Here are some clues that might help you identify a victim...
SIGNS OF SEX TRAFFICKING Evidence of being controlled: the person is accompanied by a controlling person, and do not speak on her own behalf. The person is transported to or from work; lives and works at the same place and is rarely allowed in public. Lack of control over personal schedule: the person is not able to move freely or leave a job. For example, a woman who works 24/7, sees an important number of clients and has no time for herself. Lack of control over money: the person is not able to keep the money earned. It is “withheld for safe-keeping”. Most of the time the person owes debts to the employer. The person recently arrived in the country: she often does not speak the language of the country, or only knows sex-related words in English. Fear, depression and overly submissive behaviour: the person is frightened to talk to outsiders and authorities as a result of threats. Poor health: Sexually transmitted diseases, HIV/AIDS, pelvic pain and traumas, urinary difficulties, pregnancy resulting from rape and prostitution, infertility from chronic untreated STDs and unsafe abortions. Malnutrition and serious dental problems. Bruises, scars and other signs of physical abuse and torture: although, sex trafficked victims are often beaten in areas that won’t damage their appearance, like their lower back. Substance abuse problems or addictions: the person is often coerced into drug use by her traffickers or turn to substance abuse to help cope with her dreadful situation. THE BAD NEWS It is true to say that 2020 was a mixed bag of circumstances for all of us; some of us dealt with the loss of loved ones, others with the loss of businesses, some with redundancy, others with poverty, or enforced homelessness, or the sudden loss of relationships and serious illness in the form of Covid-19 and let's face it, so much more!
We can even struggle to recall a time
It is often during these uncertain times, that the enemy tries to prey on us, hoping that he can get us to wallow in the hardship and STAY THERE.
HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS!
It is one of the fastest ways he can immobilise or derail us. Suddenly all of our focus is on the problem at hand and it is all we can see before us. We quickly lose hope.

before the hardships began. The enemy wants us to stay in the dungeon of shame - and even years later, when God has long set us free, he tries to cast a long-lasting shadow,

escaped the dungeon; we are still held back, burdened and troubled by it.
This was part of the very reason that Jesus died to set us free (Isaiah )!! When he was nailed to the cross, and when He rose again, once and for
all,
He
destroyed
the
dark

our hearts with His Glorious Light! RECALL HIS GREAT VICTORIES... This is why it does us well to 'remember' ( (
), 'recall' (
), and 'renew'
) our minds DAILY with the TRUTH.
Think of how a washing machine goes round and round, with each turn the water floods every fibre within the fabric of your clothing and the dirt and the soap gets washed out. In the same way, when we focus our minds on the TRUTH of God's Word and speak it out loud every day, we are AFFIRMING our faith and washing the lies of the enemy right out of our minds! We are then more able to recall all the previous victories God has won for us, the many times we feared defeat and disaster, but God was more than able to pull us out and through. This is how the shadows of shame begin to dissipate! We cannot be bystanders! We ALL have to play our part! REFUSE SHAME We must discipline our minds so that we actively refuse to allow the enemy any foothold in our lives. We can refuse to accept any shame that came along last year and refuse to carry it as our burden. With this in mind, we want to relegate every circumstance that has brought us shame in 2020 (or any year for that matter!) - into the #NOSHADOWOFSHAME Hall of Fame. We refuse to enter this new year, weighed down by the lies of the enemy and cowering over the losses that we could not have foreseen or done anything to prevent. Instead, we want to look forward & recall God's Great Grace. So join us through the power of the Holy Spirit, by daily reciting these powerful scriptures to RENEW YOUR MIND and release every burden of shame by leaving it firmly behind.
