Like many, I have been inspired by Pope Francis’ personal witness to the power of encounter. With words and actions, he has embodied his invitation from The Joy of the Gospel: “I invite all Christians, everywhere, at this very moment, to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ.”

In response to this invitation, how can parishes become places where people are warmly welcomed, encounter Christ, and join in the Church’s evangelizing mission?
