“I have often thought about how the Church might make clear its mission of being a witness to mercy. It is a journey that begins with a spiritual conversion. For this reason, I have decided to call an extraordinary Jubilee that is to have the mercy of God at its center. It shall be a Holy Year of Mercy. We want to live this Year in the light of the Lord’s words: ‘Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.’ (cf. Lk 6:36)” —Pope Francis

In preparation for the Holy Year of Mercy, December 8, 2015 to November 20, 2016, RENEW International presents new parish-based resources that support and encourage the Church’s mission to be a witness of mercy, expressing compassion in both words and deeds.

Be My Witness is a Christ-centered, Spirit-led process to transform the parish and form disciples for the New Evangelization. Be My Witness draws its inspiration from The Joy of the Gospel and engages parish staff, leaders, and pastoral councils to effect change, forming missionary disciples via parish small groups. The first parish cohort begins in January 2016.

Luke: My Spirit Rejoices!, is a fresh, contemporary resource based on the Gospel of Luke, written by scripture scholar Martin Lang. This book is the first in the RENEW Scripture Series, which is designed for personal and small-group use.

Living in the Sacred is a small-group resource based on The Sacred Fire, the latest book by best-selling author Fr. Ronald Rolheiser, OMI. This companion for our popular Longing for the Holy takes participants on a deeper spiritual journey and guides us on how to stay true to our commitments as disciples of Christ, extending mercy toward all.
