Let’s Flutter with Flutter
Flutter is an open-source UI software development kit created by Google. It is used to develop cross-platform applications from a single codebase. Now, nearly half a million developers use Flutter to develop mobile applications. Instead of writing code for every platform, a single code-base can compile applications for different platforms. This was the motivation to conduct an event focused on enlightening the audience on this must-have skill. Team MLSA conducted a two-day virtual event on this topic on the 16th and 17th of October 2021 on Microsoft Teams. The session on Day 1 covered concepts on Dart, a programming language used for Flutter, such as all basic data types, functions/methods, and OOPS. Day 2 showcased a live interactive session on flutter concepts with engaging questions and live coding by the core team. The event was held to introduce cross-platform development using flutter. After the session, the audience was fluent with Dart and Flutter codebase. They were excited and eager to build more Flutter apps in the future. Introduction to Web Dev :
This was the introductory event of the MLSA Club, and we are proud to receive a massive response from developers all over the college coming and participating in this session. We started by showcasing the mission and scope of the club and headed over to have an engrossing session on REACT, a prevalent library among developers. The event was held on 18th September 2021 on Microsoft Teams. The event engaged the participants for 2 hours. By the end of the event, the participants had learned the core concepts which were presented and were also familiar with various other technology scopes. The interactive event gained lots of positive feedback in the end from the learner’s side. The session was held to enhance interest in the minds of young developers and help them reach their very first milestone in web development. REACT is a very beginner-friendly, easy to learn, must-have skill when it comes to web development. Many developers from the core team came forward with their explanations and demonstrations of the library and implemented them. We were thrilled by the massive response and got all geared up to strive and bring more interesting events in the future.
