This issue is extra special, for so many reasons, but living in a state of a pandemic creating this issue had many challenges and setbacks. We are all living through one of the most historic times in our generation filled with so much uncertainty and sadness. We were determined to create this issue to bring hope and resilience. We stayed the course and are finally bringing you all the amazing people who made this dream a reality. We want to send our thoughts and prayers to all who may have lost someone to this virus. May we all find healing and peace in such a challenging time.

Welcome to our Premier issue of The Magazine Lifestyle, TML. I am so excited to share all the inspiration behind the making of this publication. I created this publication to give people a platform, a voice, but mostly an opportunity to showcase their passion, purpose, and mission to inspire others. Turning a passion for football into business and philanthropy

Rich “Big Daddy” Salgado’s presence spans all four major sports leagues, and several TV networks. A regular contributor to Fox & Friends and a Super Bowl commentator, this former University of Maryland offensive lineman has made a mark in the insurance world, building plans that protect athletes, entertainers and business professionals. He’s created a successful, meaningful business because he knows firsthand how life can change in the blink of an eye. After making a remarkable recovery from a brain aneurysm in 2008, Salgado can now add COVID-19 survivor to his list of accomplishments. You never know what tomorrow will bring.

There’s A Virus in China

The first time I heard of this mysterious virus I was on the back of a Vietnamese man’s motorbike riding the stunning Ha Giang Loop, Northern Vietnam’s famous motorbike loop. Typically the trip takes you to the border with China, but our guide had gotten word of a virus breakout in the country so we took a different route that day. No one thought much of it at the time and we continued to enjoy an unforgettable 3 days filled with unparalleled views, local hospitality, and rice wine.

Over the next several weeks I traveled from Vietnam’s Capital Hanoi to Ho Chi Mihn in the south with a group of other solo-backpackers taking in the unique landscapes of Nihn Bihn, staying up all night at a karaoke bar in Phang Na, and riding down the Mekong delta to celebrate my birthday.

For the last decade we have used our music to support our Men and Women of Service and the Families who have given the ultimate Sacrifice for our Civility and our Freedom.
