Known by the admirable and sweet nickname Ronnie, the Herbs and Roots Hair Oil founder has gained insight and wisdom over the years that has led to her incredibly popular wellness venture.

The dedicated mother of two children has taken a journey which weaves a road that is filled with splitting time between her family and a full-time medical field position. It is a life sprinkled with her joyous work she created in her own product line.

Her life in the past was filled with problematic moments with health challenges, including becoming a two-time cancer survivor who also dealt with COVID, severe anemia and chemotherapy induced renal and bladder disease. They were difficult occurrences, but they made her the strong woman she is today. Walking on the path of healing she was compelled to prioritize self-care with the utmost dedication. Her newfound quest for all things natural and organic was especially poignant when she witnessed her own significant thinning of hair after overcoming so many ailments.

She formulated a remedy for herself and inadvertently created a product to help others. Through hard work and by honoring her faith in God, she was guided to finding a product worthy of sharing with the world.

We recently sat with Munoz to learn more about her important work and why she continues to thrive in the wellness space as a female entrepreneur.

Q&A Explain to us what drove you to start your business.

How does being a woman help you in the field?

What personally motivated me to establish my business was the personal journey of overcoming severe hair loss resulting from a battle with stage 4 cancer, COVID-19, severe anemia, and kidney disease. Driven to find a natural and organic solution to address hair loss and stimulate regrowth, I immersed myself in researching and developing an effective remedy. The successful formulation not only restored my own hair but also benefited friends and family who tried it. This led to the creation of Herbs and Roots Hair Oil - a product designed to offer hope and a solution to individuals struggling with hair loss.

Being a woman in the professional field of hair loss remedies helps me succeed because women are often the main seekers of such solutions. Hair holds significant importance as a woman's trademark, and societal beauty standards often revolve around it. As a woman in this field, I can better understand and empathize with the emotional impact that hair loss can have on individuals, particularly women. Women’s hair loss can be disheartening, especially in a society that often places high value on physical appearance. However, it’s important to remember that a woman’s beauty is not defined by her hair. True beauty comes from within confidence, kindness and strength. while loosing hair can be challenging, it does not diminish a women’s worth or beauty. This aids in better helping regain their confidence and beauty.

What were the personal moments that made you who you are today?

Three pivotal moments have shaped the professional I am today. Witnessing my parents' unwavering resilience and strong work ethic instilled a lasting impression in me.

Their refusal to give up, despite adversity, is truly inspiring. Similarly, transitioning into a single mother role following an abusive relationship was a defining experience. Balancing education, overcoming Stage Four cancer, and raising my two children showcased my determination and perseverance. These past experiences have molded me into a resilient and dedicated professional, capable of overcoming challenges with grace and strength.

Is there anything hard about being a female in your industry?

Also, being a woman in this space gives me a competitive edge with my ability to communicate effectively, build strong relationships, and collaborate with diverse teams sets me apart and gives me a strategic advantage in this competitive environment. I embrace my femininity as a strength and leverage it to drive success and make a lasting impact in my professional endeavors.

What is it that makes you the proudest?

I am most proud of the fact that despite facing challenges in my life that were meant to break me, I maintained unwavering faith and resilience. Instead of letting these obstacles defeat me, I leveraged them as opportunities for growth and learning. Every setback taught me valuable lessons and propelled me to achieve greater success. I believe that my ability to turn adversity into motivation has been instrumental in shaping my professional journey, making me stronger and more determined to overcome any challenges that come my way.

In my professional field, I can't think of anything in particular that would be a hard thing being a woman. On the contrary, I believe being a woman empowers me in my field. I believe that my gender does not limit my capabilities; instead, it gives me a different vantage point and the strength to overcome challenges with grace and resilience.

Tell us what you are most excited about in the future.

I am most excited about my professional life having astounding growth in my business. This will provide more financial security for my children, enabling us to pursue extracurricular activities and family endeavors that were once out of reach. The one thing that excites me the most is knowing that my parents and children will witness the fruits of my hard work unfold before them. They will see how God works all things for our good, especially for those who love Him. And I certainly do.

What do you love most about your line?

By focusing on my professional growth, I am confident that I can overcome challenges and lead my business to greater success in the future.
