Our hiking tradition continues with Renault Triber!

I developed a liking for hiking when I was in my college. My hostel-mates and I would often go to nearby places for an overnight hike whenever we found time.

Even when I started working, that habit stayed with me. I didn’t go for a hike every weekend but tried to make it at least once every quarter. It was in one of these hiking expeditions, that I met my future wife and today we both make it a point to go out, every time we get an opportunity.

Recently, when we wanted to upgrade my car, I was looking for something that could easily accommodate my hiking gear. I faced a lot of trouble with my sedan and hence this time I was looking for a car that’s spacious enough to carry all my stuff.

When I test drove the Renault Triber, I felt that finally I found a car that I could use for both my daily commutes and my weekend expeditions!

Just a couple of months back, my hostel mate and his wife wanted to join us for an overnight hike. Just like me, he too has the entire hiking kit which travels with him wherever he goes. When we were planning the arrangements he insisted on taking his car.

So, when he came to my place early morning on that Saturday, he did not remove his gear from his car since he thought that just my car won’t be able to fit everything. He was not aware that I had a Renault Triber.

When we finally decided to leave, I asked him to remove his stuff from his sedan and put it in my car. He was completely baffled by my demand.

“How will two gears sit in your boot buddy?” he asked me, sceptically.

“Why not? See what I do now!” I answered him with a smile.

He stood there thinking that I was probably out of my mind. But when I brought out my Renault Triber, his grim face turned into excitement.

“Now when did this happen?” he spoke excitedly as he moved around the car.

“I opened the rear hatch, removed the last row, folded it neatly and placed both the hiking gears in the huge boot that measured 625L! All the stuff fit perfectly in there. The only thing that I kept out was our rucksack which had some essential things and our camera.

It did not take me more than 5 minutes to clear off all the stuff and close the hatch. By the time our wives walked out it was all clean as if nothing had happened.

His wife came out and started walking towards her car. She reached there and turned back to find that we three were grinning ear to ear standing next to my Renault Triber.

It took a second for her to understand that we will not be taking their sedan. But the moment she realised what had just happened she said to my friend “I think our sedan needs a replacement and the Renault Triber looks like the perfect fit.”

For the next two days, we had a whale of a time hiking and camping in our tents. It was after a long time that we had met, and it felt so good to relive old memories under the moonlit sky.

In those two days, they both explored every feature of my Triber and even drove it. While they liked the modular seating and huge interior space, the other most important aspect that liked was the Renault Triber comes Global NCAP adult rating of 4 stars and a child safety rating of 3 stars. This not only makes the Renault Triber a very safe car but also the first 7-seater to achieve this rare feat!

I spoke to him a couple of days after we came back from the hike. He told me excitedly that he had indeed booked a Renault Triber and was expecting it to be delivered soon. I knew that with a starting price of Rs. 5.50 lakh (Ex. Showroom Delhi), the Renault Triber was an absolute value for money.

No wonder it is already India’s best-loved family car!
