I joined the scheme to retrofit the existing plant, adapting it for a post-COVID work and research environment. The proposal includes extensive interventions, such as redesigning the internal layout and over-cladding the external envelope, aiming to achieve excellent spatial efficiency and high thermal standards while introducing an architectural language that integrates the building with its wider site.
Facuty of Art and Humanities - COVENTRY
Two brutalist buildings, linked by a contemporary extension, form the Delia Derbyshire building, a creative hub for cross-disciplinary learning. Flexible spaces serve architecture, design, film, photography, and immersive media around lecture theatres and breakout rooms.. Large stepped seating, a café, and the ‘Hyper Studio’ prompt inter-disciplinary projects, while immersive studios enable advanced digital practice.

Commissioned by NHS, The new elective care centre features modular design with pre-fabricated units assembled around adaptive grids. In early 2025, the centre is looking forward to expand surgical capacity for NHS Bristol. In additions to medical and recovery spaces, the building incorporates two central courtyard that aims to enhance environmental experience and benefit the recovery process.
Gibbet Hill, a UoW satellite campus for medical and life sciences, faces outdated facilities hindering the university’s vision and growth. Collaborating with a senior architect, I conducted an in-depth infrastructure analysis, projected student growth, and developed statistical hypotheses. We provided a comprehensive evaluation with strategic interventions and proposed future developments.
University of Birmingham MDS Masterplan - BIRMINGHAM
The University of Birmingham Medical and Dental Sciences (MDS) department is undergoing significant spatial reconfiguration. In order to optimise the efficiency and adapt infrastructural provision to the projected growth of user, BDP conducted comprehensive studies to provide a vision of a hybrid spatial renewal scheme, combining adaptive reuse with sustainable new developments.
