NE1's 24 doors of Christmas NE1’S VERY OWN ADVENT CALENDAR IS BACK AND READY FOR BUSINESS! WE’RE TAKING OVER THE CITY DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER WITH A FABULOUS RANGE OF FREE TOURS AND AWESOME OPEN DAYS

Each day throughout December, our amazing citywide advent calendar will showcase a new venue which will open its doors and allow you unprecedented access to amazing buildings, sights and exhibits for one day only, all for free and in the spirit of Christmas!

2018’s event saw record-breaking numbers take part in the event, with tickets for each day selling out in record time. From Newcastle Castle to St James’ Park, each venue saw visitors flock through their doors, anxious to get a look behind-thescenes, or simply explore somewhere they’d always wondered about.

This year promises to be no different, with hidden gems, local landmarks and quirky, interesting spaces embracing the season to fling open

their doors and welcome people of the North-East in to explore!

Returning for this year’s event is Newcastle Cathedral, who have confirmed the iconic Christmas Eve slot, as well as the Racquets Court, and Newcastle’s historic Guildhall.

One day of the calendar will also be given over to local agency Everything Different, who will offer ticket holders the chance to experience a day working in a design agency, reacting to a live brief and creating an advertising campaign.

We can’t hold back our excitement as more and more names get confirmed for the month, and we’re already circling the ones we simply can’t miss, in the diary!

Built in 1812, Moot Hall was originally used as Newcastle Crown Court and has held notorious cases over the years! 1907. Once the new court complex on the Quayside was completed in 1998, Moot Hall was developed into a licensed venue for weddings and other fancy affairs!
