As we enter the most wonderful time of the year during a second national lockdown, you may start to think your Christmas plans will be put on hold, but we’re here to tell you that Christmas isn’t cancelled and we’ve got you covered.

We know you can't come into the city right now, so we're doing our bit to bring the city straight to you.

So, that’s why this year - more than ever - if possible, it’s important to give back in any way you can. Newcastle City Council and Gateshead Council have partnered with local charity, Connected Voice, to raise money for those in need at Christmas. The money raised will be distributed to community organisations to provide fun-filled Christmas activities, events, food and gifts for vulnerable residents across the region; while also assisting local community organisations with the wonderful work they do to support those who need it most. In partnership with the councils, Connected Voice has set up a Virgin Money Donate Spirit of Christmas fundraising page and will distribute the money to local charities as quickly as possible to boost their funds in the lead up to and during the festive season.
