Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishankar is a universally revered spiritual and humanitarian leader.

His vision of a violence-free, stress-free society through the reawakening of human values has inspired millions to broaden their spheres of responsibility and work towards the betterment of the world. In 1981, Gurudev established The Art of Living, an educational and humanitarian NGO that works in special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. He has been honoured with numerous awards including the highest civilian awards of Colombia, Mongolia and Paraguay. In 2016, the Indian government conferred upon him the second highest civilian award - the ‘Padma Vibhushan’.

His vision of promoting quality education that instills self-esteem and creativity among children led to the foundation of Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust which regards educational institutions as ‘temples of knowledge’. The trust has established various schools, colleges and universities across India. Hyderabad too has welcomed Gurudev’s holistic education model through two schools under the auspices of SSRVM Trust, namely, Sri Sri Academy, located in Discovery City, Maheshwaram Mandal and Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir located at Rajbhavan Road, Somajiguda.

Sri Sri Academy is a premium CBSE afliated senior secondary school with residential facility. Its vast and beautiful 5-acre campus provides everything required for the all-round development of students: bright, airy and spacious classrooms, laboratories, library, music & dance studio, art & craft studio, playgrounds, sports facilities, skating ground, 2-level security, hygienic kitchen, wholesome food, dining hall, etc., and above all, a teaching methodology that integrates experiential learning. MAKING SENSE OF THE MAZE OF LIFE Unless one is a teacher, parents usually consider intelligence as a single ability.

The hostel facility at Sri Sri Academy, Discovery city provides excellent accommodation with food, games and studies. It is fully secured with CCTV surveillance and warden/ assistant warden at the same oor. Clean rooms with beddings and almirah are provided for every child. Taking care of the children’s health and for regulating their diet, hygienic, sattvik food is only served at the dormitory. As maintaining a proper time discipline is a must, students are supposed to follow the schedule including their study, sports as well as sleep timings.

CURRICULUM I. SCHOLASTIC Sri Sri Academy provides holistic education from the Elementary level to Plus-2 (also known as higher secondary). Being a CBSE Afliated school, our curriculum is based on the research-based recommendations of the NCERT and is designed to make learning fun, activity-based and experiential. Students are encouraged to engage in various interesting and fun-based activities like class exhibitions, role-plays and demonstrations. They will also get many interesting projects and assignments as part of their academic course of study.

II. CO-SCHOLASTIC To ensure all-round development of our students, we put them through regular practice in martial arts, music, dance, art & craft, yoga and other activities where they are guided by trained instructors. Class-level competitions are conducted on a regular basis.

Students also have to regularly practice the Sudarshana Kriya, meditation and pranayam, disciplines that are taught only at SSA. As education is an integral part of society, we believe celebrations cannot be left out of the learning process. Festivals represent our rich and ancient heritage, hence, students and faculty celebrate festivals like Navratri, Christmas, other national festivals as well as Children’s Day, Teachers’ Day, Sports Day and Annual Day.
