The Lindley High School recently announced their RCL for 2023 during their prize giving ceremony. They wrote on social media: “Congratulations to each one of you. Die bekende akteur en filmmaker Jacques Gombault, ook bekend vir sy rol as Robert Gouws in die kykNET drama reeks Song vir Katryn en wat as 2009 se ‘Beste Akteur’ aangewys is, gaan vroeg in volgende jaar werkswinkels vir oud en jonk aanbied aan toekomstige jong akteurs hier van Reitz.

Die werkswinkels, volgens die skool, Hoërskool Reitz, word vir 13 en 14 Januarie

2023 beplan. Die werkswinkels gaan by die skool aangebied word aan enige leerder van Graad 4 tot Graad 12 wat belangstel daarin. Gombault beloof dat die beplande werkswinkels aan elkeen wat daaraan gaan deelneem selvertroue sal kry en hulle gaan filmspel tegnieke aanleer. Die Sernick Groep het onlangs in die media geskryf: “Sernick is trots om ons hoof van Ekonomie, Navorsing en Innovasie, Phillip Oosthuizen, geluk te wens vir die verwerwing van sy PhD in Landbou Ekonomie by die Universiteit van die Vrystaat. Sy studie het gehandel oor winsgewendheid en vleiskwaliteit deur die rooivleis waardeketting wat die voerkraal, abattoir en verbruikers insluit. Oosthuizen is ook deel van die Reitz Landbou Akademie, wat ‘n reuse mylpaal vir hulle is met

dié prestasie. Hulle het ook met groot trots oor dié plaaslike gespog. Hulle het onlangs op sosiale media hom hartlik geluk gewens en geskryf: “Baie geluk Phillip Oosthuizen ! Ons is baie trots en bevoorreg om jou deel van ons span te kan hê!” Die Sernick groep het meer as 600 mense in diens met 'n jaarlikse omset van R 1,5 miljard. Sernick is 'n gediversifiseerde landbouorganisasie en Landbou-reus, wat 'n Bonsmara-stoetery, veevoerproduksie, voerkraal, abattoir, ontbening, verwerking en kleinhandelafsetpunte insluit.

These include customer relationship management, pricing, timing and delivery,” she explains. “It makes sense then that logistics and supply chain management are critical competencies that contribute to creating customer satisfaction.” Delivering products/services at the promised time; place; cost, and in the agreed upon quantity and quality keeps the wheels turning in this business and career. So what does a job in logistics entail? The logistics sector ensures that goods are available to consumers when and where they need them. Nou weet jy!

Klitsie verstaan dat al hoewel ons in 'n era bly waar gay wees meer aanvaarbaar is en jy selfs nou in die land van ons kan trou dit nie altyd so maklik is om uit die kas te klim as jy in die platteland bly nie. Dit bly jou keuse totdat jy reg is om die kas deur oop te gooi en op die ABBA liedjie Mama Mia die nuus met almal te deel. Nou in die dorpie van ons sit ons met so 'n mannetjie wat hoog en lag sweer dat die glad nie vir die ander span bat nie maar Klitsie weet dat nog geen meisie hom al ooit sonder 'n hemp aan gesien het nie. Of sonder 'n broek nie of selfs net in 'n onderbroek nie. Maar hoe verduidelik jy jouself as jy deny deny deny maar dan gaan maak jy ogies vir iemand wat wel vir die ander span speel? Klitsie verstaan dat dit nie so mooi verloop het as wat die mannetjie gehoop het nie! Is dit dan dalk nie tyd om die kas deur oop te gooi nie? Klitsie het 'n ABBA cd vir jou....

Klitsie was vir so rukkie stil en het hier waar dit stil is op die vlaktes bietjie gaan loop dink ek oor die rubriek wat ek vir die koerant skryf. Klitsie weet dat baie graag sal wil weet wie ek is en in die tannie wat wiele afblaas se geval wie sy kan sue...baie wonder of alles wat ek skryf die waarheid is? Klitsie maak nie stories op nie want iemand, heel moontlik jy weet van wie ek soms praat. En dis hoekom ek soms vir 'n paar weke niks skryf nie (en dan word my vorige bydraes herhaal) want as Klitsie nie weet gaan ek nie daaroor skryf nie. Sommige bydraes word summier geweier deur die Redakteur om geplaas te word, glo te vreeslik of iemand gaan pakslae kry of so iets dit word nie gepublish nie! Ek hou nie op skryf nie want daar is nog baie om oor te skryf en al vat dit 'n rukkie is dit omdat ek seker maak dat dit wat ek deel inderdaad die waarheid is. Lees gerus my nuwe weeklikse bydrae “ Vra vir Klitsie” wat VOLGENDE week begin.

Stuffed mushrooms Ingredients 8 large portobello mushrooms 30 ml (2 Tbsp) olive oil 1 whole onion, peeled and finely chopped 2 whole tomatoes, chopped 10 ml (2 tsp) Robertsons crushed garlic 6 cups coarsely chopped spinach 30 ml (2 Tbsp) Robertsons Braai & Grill All-in-One 30 ml (2 Tbsp) tomato paste 2.5 ml (½ tsp) Robertsons black pepper 250 ml (1 cup) grated mozzarella cheese

Preparation method Clean the mushrooms with a paper towel.

Remove the stems and use a spoon to scrape out the gills. Set aside. Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onions until soft. Add the tomatoes and Robertsons Crushed Garlic, and cook until the tomatoes are soft and juicy.

Add the spinach and the Robertsons Braai & Grill All-in-One and cook until the spinach has wilted. Now add the tomato paste and Robertsons Black Pepper, and cook for a further 5 minutes. Lay the mushrooms, hollow sides up, on one side of a sheet of greased tin foil that is long enough to enclose all the mushrooms in a parcel once they have been stuffed.

Fill the mushrooms with tomato and spinach mixture. Top each mushroom with grated cheese. Flip the other side of the foil over the mushrooms and fold over the edges to create a sealed parcel.

Place the parcel on the grid when the coals have cooled down. Cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Serve warm.

Dit is nou daardie strepie tussen die twee datums op jou grafsteen. Wat staan alles geskryf in daardie enkele ou strepie? Jy het absoluut geen invloed gehad op die eerste datum nie, maar jy het wel 'n invloed op die tweede datum, afhangende van hoe jy leef. Nou, die probleem lê by daardie strepie tussen die twee datums. Sommige mense werk naarstiglik daaraan om daardie strepie so lank en sinvol as moontlik te maak, ander leef weer so asof hulle hom so kort as moontlik wil hê, en baie gee net nie 'n blou duit om nie. Nou ja, die Bybel sê alles wat jy nodig het om te weet, om te sorg dat daardie strepie so sinvol as moontlik sal wees, ongeag van sy lengte.

"Daar is 'n lewenswyse wat vir 'n mens reg kan lyk, maar die uiteinde daarvan is die dood. " (Spr. 14:12) Die lewenswyse van party mense is duister. Mense leef roekeloos, het geen agting vir die dood nie, gee nie om wat hulle doen nie, tart selfs die dood. Vele tart sommer die Here ook. Ja, dit is inderdaad so dat die mens geskep is met die wete dat die dood kom “Stof is jy, en jy sal weer stof word”. (Gen 2:19b) God het die mens met ‘n bepaalde lewensverwagting geskep. Daar staan geskrywe dat jy 70 jaar oud sal word, en as jy sterk is 80. Almal wat gebore is, sal weer ‘n aardse dood sterf. Maar wat verwag die Here van ons in hierdie relatiewe kort tyd van 70, 80 jaar? Die volgende bekende woorde kom onwillekeurig by my op: "Wat ek is, is net genade, wat ek het, is net geleen." So ook die volgende bekende lied: "Moet ek gaan met leë hande, moet ek so my Heer ontmoet...".

Ek het al so baie oor hierdie dinge gedink en ek vra myself die volgende dinge af: Leef ek net vir myself? Maak ek 'n verskil aan ander?

Wat is my nalatenskap? Wat sal my gesin sê van hoe ek tydens hierdie strepie geleef het?

Het my lewe hier na die einde toe 'n stippellyn geword? Leef nog net so nou en dan. Daardie strepie stop nie as ons hier op aarde sterf nie, hy hou aan tot in ewigheid.

Maar die besluit waar daardie strepie sal aanhou voortleef word voor die laaste datum bepaal, op ons eie keuse. Dit gaan óf baie sleg, óf baie lekker wees. Ek weet presies waar ek wil wees!

The Boxer 150 enters its way

into an already very competitive delivery market with importers selling their workhorses like fresh bread at a bakery. So, what is the Bajaj Boxer 150 all about?

The Boxer is a born and bred city dweller with drum brakes at each end, plush but welldamped suspension, a fully enclosed chain guard, standard crash protection, centre stand, USB charge port, gear indicator and a 145cc single-cylinder motor.
