Marmite pork mac and cheese

Marmite Pork Mac and Cheese is a tasty spin on a classic recipe that’s sure to become a family favourite. Easy-tofind and cost-effective ingredients make it the perfect midweek meal for busy households. Baked in under 20 minutes, this tasty recipe will delight everyone!

Ingredients: 500 g minced lean pork 1 small onion - diced 400 g macaroni - cooked oil - to fry salt and black pepper - to season 1 tbsp. marmite - or Bovril spread 350 g cream cheese - or buttermilk 350 ml cream

2 - 3 cup cheddar - grated bread crumbs - or crushed salted chips to top

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Add some oil to a hot pan, add in the diced onion and fry until translucent. Add the mince and the seasoning and fry until brown.

Add the Marmite and some water to dilute. Simmer for a few minutes before adding in the cream and cream cheese. Let it simmer for a few minutes, add the cooked macaroni noodles and mix well. Scoop into your baking dish of choice.

Add 2 – 3 cups of the grated cheese and some breadcrumbs on top and place in the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove to cool slightly and serve.
