EMBASSY OF PAKISTAN A Celebration of Diplomatic Friendship

Ambassador His Excellency Mohammad Aqil Nadeem alongside spouse Mrs. Tahsina Aqil proudly hosted a celebration of Pakistan’s 71st National Day in Jakarta. Taking place at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, the festivity commenced with a cake cutting ceremony led by His Excellency Mr. Jusuf Kalla as Vice President of Indonesia and Mr. Basuki Hadi Mulyono as Indonesia’s Minister of Public Works and Public Housing, together with ambassadors of allying countries. The evening went accordingly with the two countries national anthem being recited as the opening.

The Embassy of Pakistan also showcased their carpet crafts at the event.

Awards and Collaboration On 2nd May 2018, an exclusive event was held where Fagetti took part in the Exhibition held at ICE BSD by displaying some of their finest marble works packed with very exclusive and luxurious items. Fagetti collaborated with Genius Loci and Hadiprana to present a fascinating event which started with a few welcome words delivered by Mrs. Hellen Gumanti and Mr. Ferdinand Gumanti as the owners of Fagetti. There was an Award Ceremony for Mr. Farid Masdoeki and Mr. Alex Bayu. Invited guests who were present were also entertained with a salsa dance to the accompaniment of music that made the event even more festive.

Present were the founder of Infiniti Jewels, Mr. Bhavik Mehta along with Mrs. Meeta Mehta, Mr. Saagar Mehta and Mr. Saahil Mehta.

Invited guests enjoyed canapĂŠ and drinks with delicious side dishes provided while fraternising with other invitees and then proceeded to have a sumptuous dinner.

A Kartini Masa Kini event was held at Shangri-La Hotel on Tuesday 17 April 2018.

This event highlighted great women in their fields who had striven for women’s emancipation and to appreciate talented Indonesian women. The event was packed with guests and fashion shows by two Indonesian designers. Not only that, this event also gave awards to six women including Amy Atmanto and Mrs. Poppy Darsono as Indonesian Designers, Amelia Salim’s mother as Business Woman, Sri Rossyati’s twin mum and Sri Irianingsih as founder of Kartini Emergency School for the Marginal. Also present were Miss Indonesia 2017, Ms. Archintya Holte Nilsen and Mrs. Reni Ditawari Siregar.

AIRYN’S BIRTHDAY Passion Jewelry Stars

On the 30th April at The Residence On Five, Grand Hyatt Jakarta there was a grand birthday celebration for Mrs Airyn Tanu who owns Passion Jewelry. There was also an expose on the Jewelry Collection at Passion with the theme of “The Art Shades of Passion Prive”. Invited guests were welcomed by a short speech and got a good view of the excellent collection and were then treated to a special Fashion show by designer Ivan Gunawan. In order to commemorate Kartini Day, Madame Sinta Lie held a Charity Bazaar event on April 20th 2018 at La Madame MSL House, Jl. Hang Tuah Raya which was attended by talented Indonesian women who have outstanding artistic skills.

Invited guests who attended were also served food typical of La Madame Restaurant and also were buying items on the bazaar like clothes, jewelry, accessories, beauty products, etc. On this occasion Mrs. Sinta Lie as the owner of La Madame Restaurant also provided monetary aid to the children with Tunagrahita in Yayasan Bina Grahita Belaian Kasih.

On 13th April 2018 at the Pala Adas Indonesian Bistro, an event was hosted by Pala Adas along with De’Eleriz where guests witnessed the latest innovations in beauty treatments and Batik fashion trends at present.

Elegant, smart and beautiful women of today’s generation showed off the Batik fashion show as presented by Yuki Kusnadi. Then followed a question and answer session about fashion and beauty. Crown Group CEO Mr. Iwan Sunito was present to introduce a stunning project to Indonesian entrepreneurs. Australia-based property company, Crown Group, held the Eastlake Live project launch event in Jakarta. This launch was held at the La Moda, Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta. The project will be in Sydney, Australia and was started in June 2018. The company will build 534 units of apartments within two stages. The initial phase one is targeted for completion in 2021, after which it will continue in phase two, targeted for completion in 2024.

The opening of the launch of Eastlakes Live project was enlivened with performances and a fashion show from MOZZO.

ARTI GIDWANI Celestial Fashions

The Jakarta Room at Raffles Jakarta on 7th May went heavenly with a “Celestial” fashion show presenting 20 pieces of clothing, adorned with meticulously detailed clay jewellery. The dynamic duo, Clay Artists Arti Gidwani and Vibeke Lorentzen along with Indonesian designer Auguste Soesastro, celebrated the beauty of “celestial fashion” in a ready-to-wear collection.

Clean silhouettes and strong sartorial structures along with jewellery were like an architectural collection, as Gidwani described it. Furthermore, Gidwani, Lorentzen and Soesastro defined the collection as an appreciation,“It’s the universe around us, the world we live in. Let’s not forget the beauty of the world we live in. and the beauty is in what we wear,” Gidwani added.

Exciting Handover

The handover of the Azimut Grande 27 Metre “Tara of The Sea” was on 25 May 2018 at Pantai Mutiara. The event which was attended by successful Indonesian businessmen and invited guests were entertained by Mr. Boy William, Ms. Marion Jola (Finalist Indonesia Idol) accompanied by a Live Band. The event started with a few remarks by the CEO of Azimut Yachts Indonesia, Mr. Choppy Tan, followed by a ceremony which included plaque and key handover of Azimut Grande 27 Metre “Tara of the Sea” to Mr. Ming Susanto as the first owner.

The event continued with entertainment and excellent food and drinks.

HABITAT

Housing for Humanity Habitat for Humanity Indonesia with Ambassador U.S. Joseph R. Donovan Jr. and Ambassadors from 11 different countries held an Ambassadors Dig 2018 event entitled “Nations Build Indonesia” on 12th May. At this event, ambassadors from eleven friendly countries, homeowners’ families and friends of Habitat Indonesia worked together to build a habitable home for eleven families in Babakan Madang, Sentul, Bogor. In his opening speech, Ambassador Donovan advised that the spirit of mutual assistance should be improved in building for a better life. Habitat for Humanity Indonesia aims to support the construction of homes for at least 100,000 Indonesian families in need of habitable housing by 2020.

INDONESIA LUXURY & AMBIENTE “Tetap Terang”

To commemorate Kartini’s Day, Indonesian Luxury and Ambiente in partnership with ISA Art Advisory and Can’s Gallery, proudly held an art exhibition showcasing the works of six remarkable female artists. The exhibition entitled “Tetap Terang” – “Always Bright” in Indonesian – is inspired by R.A. Kartini’s renowned account “Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang” and presented masterpieces from artists Sinta Tantra, Arahmaiani, Ines Katamso, Sally Smart, Natasha Lubis, and Natisa Jones. Each of the paintings was displayed at Ambiente Showroom from April 12 to May 12, 2018. Mr. Didiet Maulana, Mrs. Kezia Karin, as well as Mrs. Rachel Nathani were also in attendance as hosts of the hearty, prestigious event.
