Grâce à un design unique et trois complications horlogères «Swiss Made», RESERVOIR est le miroir d’époques où l’instrumentation mécanique de précision se mettait au service des hommes.

RESERVOIR takes its inspiration from the functionalities and the aesthetic appeal of measurement instruments of days gone by. These mechanical instruments were painstakingly built by craftsmen who were fired with enthusiasm for measurement and time. RESERVOIR watches are Swiss Made, and echo an era in which precision instruments were at the service of mankind – a time when the pulse quickened and adrenaline coursed through the driver’s veins as he embarked upon voyages that demanded courage and high performance.

Aux préludes de la création, il y a l’idée.

Celle de dépasser les limites, de franchir de nouveaux seuils et de réaliser de véritables exploits à l’image de tous ces pilotes de légende qui ont inspiré RESERVOIR. Des exploits rendus possibles grâce à l’énergie incroyable de ces pilotes, à l’image de l’essence symbolisée par la jauge et le jerricane.

To embody its values in the material, RESERVOIR borrows from gas jerrycans the shape engraved on their side to create the brand’s emblem. Born in the 30s, those petrol tanks were precious tools, especially during war for soldiers and their jeeps as well as pilots ready to take off to fight. They are a true allegory for the brand; they recall that for any action, energy is essential.

Pour incarner ses valeurs dans la matière et la forme, RESERVOIR emprunte aux jerricanes d’essence la forme gravée sur leurs f lancs pour créer l’emblème de la marque. Nés dans les années 30, ces réservoirs de carburants étaient des outils précieux, notamment pendant la guerre, tant pour les soldats et leurs jeeps que pour les chasseurs prêts à décoller pour le combat. Véritable allégorie de la marque, ils rappellent qu’à toute action l’énergie est indispensable.

Minute rétrograde et heure sautante se substituent aux trois aiguilles traditionnelles des montres suisses. Les montres RESERVOIR innovent avec une lecture radicale de l’heure s’appuyant sur deux complications horlogères combinées à celle d’une réserve de marche, témoin de l’énergie mécanique et de la puissance restante : La minute rétrograde à 240° reprend les compte-tours, manomètres ou encore profondimètres. L’heure sautante en guichet rappelle les compteurs kilométriques. La réserve de marche reproduit les jauges à essence ou à huile. Précision, exactitude et fiabilité, tout est dans la mesure, celle du temps, de la performance et du risque.

The retrograde minute and the jumping hour act as substitutes for the more usual three hands on Swiss watches. RESERVOIR timepieces are innovative for the radical way the time is displayed, which is achieved by drawing on two watchmaking complications combined with the power reserve – a testament to mechanical energy and pent-up power.

The retrograde minute at 240° recalls the R.P.M. counters, the manometers and the depth gauges.

The jumping hour recalls the mileage meters and the power reserve display echoes the fuel and oil gauges. Precision, exactitude and reliability: this is all about measuring time, delivering performance and assessing risk factors.

RESERVOIR takes its inspiration from the worlds of mechanics that have marked the history of mankind from the 19th Century to the present time. The GT Tour was born in the world of the car and the classic car race – symbols of endurance and high performance. The SUPERCHARGED is the natural extension of the streamlined look and sophisticated engine power of those racing cars of old. Military aviation and its icons – including both the planes that achieved such cult status and the design of the aviation instruments – provide an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the AIRFIGHT range. — MOUVEMENT Afin de mettre au point le mécanisme de précision permettant l’affichage des trois complications caractéristiques de ses montres, la maison RESERVOIR s’est associée avec une société suisse de développement horloger, spécialisée dans l’architecture de mouvements de haute complication parmi les plus reconnus.

Un module horloger propriétaire de 124 pièces a ainsi été spécialement créé puis breveté - ce module étant motorisé par un mouvement ETA 2824-2 réputé pour sa fiabilité et sa précision avec une oscillation de 28 800 alternances par heure. Toutes les montres RESERVOIR proposent ainsi une minute rétrograde, une heure sautante et une réserve de marche avec une autonomie de 37 heures.

A 124-components proprietary watchmaking module has, to this end, been specially drawn up and patented. The module is powered by an ETA 2824-2 movement, widely acclaimed for its reliability and precision, oscillating at 28,800 alt./h. 1960-1990, des légendaires courses automobiles se forge l’essence même des montres GT Tour. Dans l’attente de la compétition, un regard sur le comptetour… et l’imaginaire s’emballe au son siff lant des bolides et aux odeurs entêtantes d’huile et d’essence.

Soudain, la gomme des pneus sur l’asphalte fait naître l’urgence, celle de goûter à l’ivresse de la vitesse et de la course gagnée. Quand le pilote se concentre, l’homme, au plus profond de lui-même, rêve de victoires et d’exploits. Ses sens sont en alerte, aussi intenses que la lumière des phares dans la nuit... 1960-1990: it was during these years that so many legendary car races took place, forging the very essence of GT Tour timepieces. As the race is about to start, the driver glances at the R.P.M. counter…the mind is firing on all cylinders as the racing cars growl throatily and the powerful odours of oil and fuel saturate the air. All of a sudden, the rubber tyres grip the asphalt urgently, and the driver gets a taste of the thrill of high speed, and of being the first to cross the finishing line. It is when the driver is totally focused on his task that he can, at the very core of his being, dream of victory and adventure. His senses are on high alert, as intense as the headlights piercing the darkness of the night…

The GT Tour incarnates these values of precision, high performance and determination.

The GT Tour adopts the codes of the ‘Classic’ car race.

The matte black dial and the orange minute hand are inspired by the contrast of these two colours on a racing car meter, allowing maximum legibility.

The 371-SE is an even more radical version, with a black case and a sandblast finish on the dial, which recalls the coating of legendary cars racetracks.

Worn with an automobile leather-style perforated black leather strap, the GT Tour timepiece is a tribute to the golden age of the car race.

1930-1960: On the horizon of the glorious English landscape appears an elegant gentleman at the wheel of a legendary convertible. The cavernous, throaty sound of the iconic engine is muffled by the foggy air, and the only thing that can be seen is the reflection of a ray of light on the chromium.

The collection showcases all the elegance of the materials and finishings so dear to cars in days gone by. The polished steel of the cases and the leather of the straps underpin what is the SUPERCHARGED style, recalling the chrome and velvet trimmings of the seat and the steering wheel, and even the thick leather driving gloves. All models have an irresistible and palpable charm with their time apertures.

Sur le tarmac, les hélices d’un avion de chasse brassent l’air dans un furieux débattement. Le cockpit ouvert respire les eff luves d’essence à la barbe des mécaniciens. Combinaison ajustée, il ne reste plus au pilote qu’à chausser ses lunettes avant de décoller et de partir à la conquête du ciel. Au zénith, les trainées de fumée sculptent le ciel, rappelant au pilote qu’il est le seul à maîtriser vitesse et trajectoire. Dans cet espace-temps s’imposent le mouvement et la rigueur, avant une explosion d’adrénaline.

The fighter aircraft’s propellers beat the air insistently on the tarmac. The open cockpit exhales the smell of the fuel and mechanics.

The pilot adjusts his suit, and all he needs to do now is to slip on his goggles and then take off in his conquest of the skies. As he reaches his peak, the smoke trails carve patterns in the sky, reminding the pilot that he alone is in charge of the speed and the trajectory. It is here in this time and space that movement and rigour make their mark in a surge of adrenalin.

The AIRFIGHT collection takes its inspiration from aircrafts, and centres on the black colour of the on-board f light instruments. The cases are made of black PVD-treated 316L steel, with a jumping hour aperture inspired by the designs of aircraft wings and cockpits, along with a yellow date aperture for one of the models. The models are watertight to 50 meters. The black dials and super-luminova white hands are emblematic of the understated precision and hyperfunctionality of aeronautical instruments.

A submarine quietly folds into the unfathomable depths of the ocean, disappearing without trace from the surface and taking with it a world whose space is enclosed in heat and wetness. The metallic ping of the sonar pulses in the glacial silence, and the smell of the diesel engines saturates the air. The heat is suffocating in the engine compartment, and the noise deafening. Everything on the TIEFENMESSER is about metal, pressure and precision: the piping, the riveted plates and the tubes. In the living quarters, time passes differently for the crew, except for the Captain: monitoring the periscope, he is the only one to have contact with the outside world.

The TIEFENMESSER collection takes its inspiration from the materials that feature so prominently in submarine equipment: the steel of the instruments measuring pressure and depth, and the bronze and brass of a periscope – all of these being the hallmark of what makes these models so unique.

The three TIEFENMESSER models have a white or black dial, a blue steel hand, industrial-style black and blue index markings, aged leather straps and a single aperture for the hour. The power reserve here is displayed in the form of a mechanical gauge with a red or yellow background. These three submersible models are watertight to 50 metres.
