Dark sky week

Visit Johns Family Nature Conservancy Regional park to great views of the night sky. This park is Canada's third Nocturnal Preserve, a designation by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada that ensures artificial light is minimized.
Earth day

This year’s theme is “our power, our planet.” Learn more and get ideas for how to celebrate Earth Day at earthday.org Every year, the RDCO celebrates community clean-up month in April by providing local groups with gloves, bags, and trash collection after clean-up events.
