Mary Treder Lang - President Dearest Regina Family, Amazing things are occurring here in the walls of Regina High School! Please stop by for a visit, enjoy one of our famous chocolate chip cookies, and see for yourself all the excitement happening here. Enrollment is at its highest in over twelve years! This past year, your donations increased our financial assistance to students in need, upgraded our classrooms with the latest technology and furniture, and began construction on a state-of-the-art athletic complex. Thank you for all your support and continuation as proud Regina Ambassadors. We have a fantastic story here at Regina – Thank you in advance for sharing our story with the community! Saddlelite Blessings,

Mary Treder Lang, CPA, CGMA

Sheila Salloum Millett ‘83 Alumna Relations Director Hello Alumnae! I am excited to be your “directress of ceremonies” on the alumnae party bus! I am thrilled to be back at Regina High School. It is in a different building, but the Regina spirit remains. It has been a wonderful summer easing into the position. I still have much to learn, so please be patient with me! There is a variety of activities planned, find what is suitable for you and join us! I plan to continue to grow our alumnae membership. If you know members who have lapsed or have out of date information in our database, please get in touch with them and ask them to contact me. I’d be happy to help. Please consult the webpage to renew or complete your membership. I am looking for Class Representatives! If you can be your class representative, please let me know. We especially need class videos for MARCH PLAIDNESS! Videos must be recorded in landscape. Please get together with your classmates and encourage others to become involved. Let’s make this the most significant battle ever! Will the class of 1994 continue their reign? It remains to be seen. Thank you all for your kindness as I traverse this new territory! I am so happy to be here. With love and blessings,

Sheila Millet

New Teacher Alumna Deanna Hammes ‘83 We are pleased to have our alumnae back here at Regina! Welcome Deanna Hammes Class of 1983 Hello Alumnae! I received my undergraduate degree from Wayne State University (Liberal Arts majoring in Psychology) 1992, I earned my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Detroit Mercy (1997). I worked in East Detroit for four years at the secondary level teaching Special Education in a self-contained classroom with EI, EMI and CI students. I worked in Detroit at Barber Magnet Middle School. I then left and went to L’Anse Creuse High School North were I taught English for 19 years before ending my career as the At-Risk Coordinator for our building working with impoverished, low-income, and academically challenged students and their families. In my spare time, I am an active gardener and landscape designer; I enjoy oil painting landscapes as well as boating scenes, and I design jewelry. I spend a lot of time on the water with my boyfriend, Andrew, and attend as many of his competitive sailing regattas as possible. I enjoy travel and most recently went to the Caribbean, Puerto Rico and Ireland. We are hoping eventually to buy a home in Scotland or Ireland in a few years. My passions are reading, fiction writing and spending time with family and friends.

New Teacher Alumna Shelby Bobowski ‘15 We are pleased to have our alumnae back here at Regina! Welcome Shelby Bobowski Class of 2015 Hi again sisters! If we have not met, my name is Shelby Bobowski, Class of 2015. While, I was sad to leave the Alumnae position, I am happy to finally be in the classroom here at Regina! Even though this is only my first semester as a teacher, I know this is where I belong. Being in the classroom, I am constantly reminded of my time here at Regina. Oh, how things have changed - but for the better for our current Saddlelite sisters! I have found a deep appreciation for everything teachers do on a daily basis. I am not only a teacher - I am a counselor, mediator, coach and a sounding board. I am glad to have found a career where work, does not feel like “work”. Regina is about the sisterhood and community, and I’m so thankful I get to be a small part of it! After Regina, I started at Adrian College then transferred to Northwood University where I obtained my Bachelors of Business Administration. I am currently back in school working towards my Masters in Education through Concordia University, with a graduation date set for spring 2024! Not only am I back in school, but I also coach volleyball competitively at Legacy Volleyball Club and here at Regina. I am recently engaged, and we planning our wedding for October 2024! When I am not working, coaching, or planning a wedding, I enjoy spending my time with my family and friends, my dog Bailey, traveling the world and reading the latest book! I recently traveled to Europe for the first time, and Scotland has my heart! I am grateful to have a career at Regina, and be a part of this amazing community. I hope I can continue to be the best version of myself for my students, athletes, coworkers, family and friends. As always: Once a Saddlelite, Always a Saddlelite. Godspeed!

Crown Legacy League This program began in the fall of 2021, This year, we have forty members! The Mission: To promote leadership and legacy inspired by a culture of philanthropy. The Crown Legacy League is open to all incoming Regina High School seniors. As the journey as a Regina student ends, the journey as a Regina Alumna just begins. The Crown Legacy League hosts workshops throughout the year led by select Regina alumnae and their colleagues. These workshops cover life skills pertaining to networking, financial planning, public speaking, and transitioning to college. This is an opportunity to meet and be mentored by accomplished Regina alumnae at different events and workshops throughout the year, culminating in an inspirational luncheon in the spring. As a member of the Crown Legacy League and in honor of the founding year of Regina High School, each senior is asked to commit to donating $19.56 per year for (5) years. Donations would occur senior year at Regina continuing for four years post-graduation, thus establishing their legacy and making a difference to Regina students!

Alummae Reunions-1968 Your paragraph text

The Class of 1968 had various memories to share on their special day! They had a tour of Regina and learned that the pews and religious artifacts in the chapel were from our original location in Harper Woods. Here are a few words of wisdom and reflection from the class of ‘68! I’m glad my parents decided it was good for me to get a good Catholic education at such a good school. I’m glad the school is still going strong.

- Debbie Dreyer What a wonderful experience Regina has been for me! How would I ever have met the incredible women who are my friends today.

- Judy Kirouac Hart I think what influenced me most from our four years at Regina was the emphasis on education and friends I made.

- Deb DeHayes Kraft I do believe that Regina helped me develop an inner strength through God to accept the challenges and difficult times in my life with grace and prayer. AND to truly appreciate all the accomplishments and joys in my life with sincere gratitude and love.

- Franca Simone Gelle Respect and resilience Everlasting friendships Grateful for my education Independence and leadership Nurturing our bodies and souls Ambitious and amazing women we are today

- Janet DeJonckheere
