By Kelly Cobb ‘22, founder of Women in Business club
In the Women in Business (WIB) club, aspiring business leaders explore opportunities in entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and management. Through interactive games and presentations, students expand their knowledge of what business entails, and the mechanics within a business. As a part of an entrepreneurship exploration, we created a fun competition where members collaborated in groups to start their own small business and sell their items at NDA’s Entrepreneur Day December 3. The artisan market featured a wide array of jewelry, pet accessories, food, stickers, and craft offerings all handmade by Regal entrepreneurs.
Throughout the year, WIB members build their confidence and prepare to take on the business world with collaborative activities that cultivate eloquence in public speaking. In addition, guest speakers share their experiences so that members gain reallife insight and advice on business. In the spring we will host a panel of female entrepreneurs to speak about how they started their own business. Our main goal is for members to find their place in the business world as strong and confident women.
