Welcome Dear Friends, Over its more than 75-year history, Notre Dame Academy has prepared nearly 7,000 young women for lives of faith, leadership, and purpose. Inspired by Our Lady and guided by the charism of the Sisters of Notre Dame, generations of young women – myself included – have found a second home here during their formative high school years. And the image of the crown, with its nod to Mary, Our Mother, has represented NDA for decades. Although our mascot has changed over the years, from “Queens” to “Regals” to “Regal Gryphons” and back to “Regals,” the crown has always been an essential part of the NDA brand.

It is fitting then, as we begin building NDA’s legacy for the next 75 years, that the cherished crown symbol gets a “glow-up.” You’ll see on the following pages how our newly updated branding both honors the foundation and traditions on which NDA was built and celebrates our continued commitment to innovation, community, and formation.

Look for more examples of innovation in the stories about Dr. Oscar Navarro’s collaboration on a trade publication or Manny Guardado’s VEX conference presentation. You’ll see NDA’s holistic formation in action in the profile of Ms. Bridget Higgins, dean of STEM. And throughout this issue, you’ll see our joyful community celebrating the very traditions that keep the legacy of NDA alive both for our current students and for generations to come.

One Mission, One Future Notre Dame Academy Los Angeles Unveils a Unified Brand Identity

T

his spring, the Notre Dame Academy community celebrated a milestone with the unveiling of a refreshed brand identity that reflects the unity, momentum, and future-focused vision of NDA today.

Officially launched to the public on April 21, the rebrand represents far more than a new logo. It is the culmination of a 16-year effort led by the Board of Directors to create a single cohesive identity for a unified school community— bringing together NDA’s coed elementary program, coedl middle school, and all-girls middle and high school under a shared mission and look.

Throughout the celebrations, cupcakes decorated with new logo toppers, branded stickers, spirit items, and photo opportunities created an atmosphere that felt both joyful and deeply communal. Students proudly placed the new stickers on water bottles, laptops, notebooks, and phone cases within minutes of receiving them, instantly embracing the refreshed look as part of their daily school identity. Faculty, staff, parents, and students gathered together not simply to see a new logo, but to celebrate the strength and unity of the NDA community itself.

This new brand reflects the momentum of Notre Dame Academy and the exciting future ahead for our students.

The official external launch on April 21 marked the beginning of a new chapter for the school: one that honors NDA’s nearly 80-year legacy while embracing the future of Catholic education in Los Angeles.

While the look of NDA continues to evolve, the heart of the mission remains unchanged. Founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame, the school has long been committed to empowering students to lead lives of purpose, curiosity, faith, and service.

Notre Dame Academy Celebrates 73rd Graduating Class Isabelle Kellett ’26 Valedictorian

What are the highlights of your time at NDA? “One of the highlights of my time at NDA is the drama program and Mrs. Duerr. As a freshman, I was shy, but signed up for drama, working backstage. Participating in drama shifted my high school experience dramatically – I got to act on stage, write pieces, and be assistant director for the spring musical. It’s built my confidence as a person so much and changed who I am as a person. It’s what I look forward to each day.

In the co-curricular aspect, NDA's signature exploratory approach is such an innovative system that allows us to learn more about how the world works and share with others what we’re interested in and apply that to our own lives.

I’ve been in many different spaces within the NDA community – Academic Decathlon, Mock Trial, justice and unity groups, clubs, no matter what space or group of people, you always have someone to turn to and find support even if you’ve never met them.

I’m leaving NDA with such a depth of knowledge... I was able to pursue and follow the things that really called to me.

I think about how much I’ve grown through my four years – it's been so nice to see how everyone else has grown as well. We’ve had the opportunity to push ourselves and push boundaries and express ourselves. The curriculum allows you to try so many new classes and learn so much to become such a well-rounded person – even though I'm planning to pursue a liberal arts major (literary arts and archeology), I took AP Computer Science and AP Chemistry. I’m leaving NDA with such a depth of knowledge in many subjects. I was able to pursue and follow what really called to me.”

Advice for your 8th grade self “Put yourself out there – you never know what you're going to find and love. High school is such a unique time in your life – you should be able to do things without fear. You can't do that if you don’t try.

What are the highlights of your time at NDA?

“I would say being ASB president was my favorite part about NDA. Being on student council you get to meet a lot more people. I’ve been able to grow in confidence, plan events, and learn public speaking. Ms. Lagrimas really helped support me and all the other ASB members.

NDA is constantly evolving, I took DICE (Duddy Innovation Center for Excellence), for example, which is a class that's unique to NDA. NDA also stays current in order to prepare me and my peers to keep up with an evolving world.

I felt community most deeply through becoming active with our Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) justice and unity group. I feel like people with similar cultures and backgrounds connect better to each other.

The community of NDA is shown during Heritage Week – a time honored tradition of which many alumnae have fond memories.”

When I first came to NDA I was shy, hesitant to speak up but over time, with the support of the administration, faculty and staff, I've learned to advocate for myself.

NDA helped form me as a leader because in the course of all my classes, I learned how to express my beliefs, speak up, try new things, and join new groups. NDA has prepared me well for college – I know I'll be able to express myself and be a leader.”

Advice for your 8th grade self “Try new things – NDA has so much to offer – I never thought I’d be part of ASB or MENA. Going out of my comfort zone and trying things really helped me evolve as a speaker, a person, and a leader.

Choosing love is rarely the easiest option and often takes selflessness, courage, and the strength to open our hearts to what is unfamiliar.

NDA does a very good job preparing people for college. The application process went smoothly, and I really feel ready for college.

1960s Marilyn Prevatte ’66 Throughout my career, I’ve had the joy of being a “first” more than once. I started as an Intel Field Application Engineer (FAE)—one of only two women in the role worldwide, then became a Lucent Subject Matter Expert (SME) and eventually trained more than 2,200 salespeople on how to use PCs and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. These days, even in retirement, I still write technical blogs on Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics for the company I spent so many years with. Outside of work, my proudest titles are mom and nana. I have two incredible children: one is an independent cinematographer who travels the globe, and the other is an associate professor of education, shaping the next generation of teachers. And my two granddaughters keep the family legacy shining, especially the youngest, who skates on a U.S. National Synchronized Figure Skating team. To say I’m proud of my family is an understatement. They’re my greatest accomplishment and my greatest joy.

We were so excited and had so much fun celebrating and dancing all night with our friends and family. I am so lucky that I got to marry my best friend. He is truly the kindest, most supportive person that I am so happy to now be able to call my husband!”

Mary Tyler Robinson ’19 Anthony and I met in the summer of 2022 when we were both UCLA students working at the cafe/bookstore Village Well in Culver City. We got engaged last October, on our three-year anniversary, as part of a scavenger hunt he planned that recreated our first date. We’re planning on hosting our wedding at the UCLA botanical gardens in June of 2027!

In Memoriam Nancy Coonis

Notre Dame Academy mourns the loss of former president Nancy Coonis, who passed away unexpectedly on April 8.

“Nancy laid the foundation for the NDA we enjoy today,” said Lilliam Paetzold, president and head of school. “Her efforts in guiding NDA for nearly a decade left an indelible legacy on our community.”

Ms. Coonis began her education career in 1975 at St. Matthias in Downey, where she taught music – her first love – as well as English, math, and religion. In 1983, Ms. Coonis became the principal, guiding St. Matthias through a very sensitive merger with Pius X High School. After serving at St. Matthias for 25 years, she was recruited in 2000 to become the Superintendent of Secondary Schools for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, which encompasses schools throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties.

Eager to return to the energy of a school campus, Ms. Coonis became the President of Notre Dame Academy in 2008. During her eight-year tenure, Ms. Coonis unified two school boards and strengthened NDA’s financial foundation. In addition, she served on countless school accreditation panels for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), which led to her role as Executive Director of the Western Catholic Education Association (WCEA), where she oversaw accreditation processes for Catholic schools in all the western states, sharing a lifetime of insight to help craft the future of her profession.

A gifted singer, Ms. Coonis remained devoted to music throughout her career, singing in school and community-based choirs, often as a soloist. But her heart was in church music, in which she could express her love of God and serve as part of a close-knit Christian community. Nancy directed, then faithfully sang in church choirs for more than 50 years.

“Nancy’s exceptional strength as a leader was matched only by her extraordinary musical gifts,” said Brad Fuller, assistant head of school. “Having her add her powerful voice to our faculty choir always made for a special celebration. She will be greatly missed.”

Faculty Updates Jeanne Ronay Retires from Front Office After 22 Years If you’ve walked into the main office of NDA in the past 20-plus years, you’ve probably met Jeanne Ronay. She retired at the end of this year, but her impact on NDA will certainly linger.

“She taught us what it means to see your work not just as a job, but as a vocation and a mission,” said president and head of school Lilliam Paetzold. “Jeanne always knew just what the girls needed, whether it was an encouraging word, a snack, or a nudge back to class. We’ll all certainly miss her.”

Taking care of NDA and its community was indeed a vocation for Mrs. Ronay. She was often the first person to greet you on campus and was always happy to help.

Join us in wishing Mrs. Ronay well as she begins her retirement with a trip to Europe to celebrate her career.

Celebrating Dick Williams’ NDA Career As a college graduate, Dick Williams had a three-phase plan for his career: work in corporate, own a business, work for a nonprofit. After a decades-long career in banking, Williams operated a successful home health franchise

for many years. When an opportunity at NDA opened in 2019, shortly after he sold that business, the timing—combined with his daughter’s experience both attending and working at NDA and his own role as a Catholic deacon—made the school a perfect fit. He retired at the end of this school year from a role that encompassed finance, human resources, IT, and facilities.

“Working in a Catholic environment has been a treat, since our faith is part of our jobs,” he said.

“Dick made a huge impact on NDA and our community,” said Lilliam Paetzold, president and head of school. “His efforts reinforced our business infrastructure and prepared us for sustained growth, all while providing a beautiful example of faith in action.”

That faith will play a big role in Mr. Williams’ retirement. Not only will he continue his work as a deacon, but he also plans to spend more time on the volunteer ministry that accompanies it.

But he’ll also spend plenty of time enjoying life outside of work: Mr. Williams is looking forward to taking up painting and art again, and with a new grandchild on the way, he’s already factoring childcare help into his schedule.

NDA is grateful to Mr. Williams for his service and leadership over the years and wishes him well on this new chapter.

Not only does she demonstrate her values daily as a teacher and dean of STEM programs at NDA, but she also lives at Westfield Residence, a community for Catholic, collegeaged women seeking Ms. Higgins shakes Pope Leo's hand on her Holy Week pilgrimage to Rome. a uniquely faith-filled university experience.

Ms. Higgins organizes mentorship and formation opportunities based in both faith and leadership for residents and guests, connecting strongly with her personal commitment to help others live their faith, too.

“I help design and run programs and do a lot of mentoring,” said Ms. Higgins. “The spiritual programs at Westfield are inspired by the teachings of St. Josemaria and the spirit of Opus Dei. As assistant director at Westfield, I’ve been inspired in my faith journey by the formation of Opus Dei, by living out my faith in

really ordinary ways, and especially through working well.”

During Holy Week this year, Ms. Higgins led her residents on a pilgrimage to Rome through the UNIV program. They had the unique opportunity to connect with other Catholic women from all over the world, develop their professional skills and faith, and participate in audiences with the Pope.

“It’s meant to inspire the girls and be very clear that in their profession, wherever they end up, they have a great capacity to make positive change in society,” Ms. Higgins said.

So what comes next? Continued connections with NDA students and Westfield residents, Ms. Higgins says, along with plenty more opportunities for both to grow in faith and leadership.

Join us as we bid farewell to director of Philanthropy and Alumnae Engagement Liz Roland. During her four-year tenure at NDA, Ms. Roland transformed the advancement department with her tireless enthusiasm and unwavering optimism. Under her leadership, NDA strengthened alumnae engagement, revitalized community events, and exceeded ambitious fundraising goals.

“Liz has a unique ability to articulate our critical mission to every member of our community – from current families, to former parents, to alumnae,” said Lilliam Paetzold, ‘84, president and head of school. “She has set a new standard for NDA philanthropy.”

Ms. Roland leaves her role in the capable hands of Christiana Thomas, who brings more than a decade of advancement experience rooted in Catholic institutions. She served as director of Mission Advancement for the Sisters of Notre Dame in Thousand Oaks, where she led fundraising strategy, donor communications, and campaign development across four provincial communities.

More recently, she served at La Reina High School, overseeing major gift strategy, annual giving, and institutional grant writing, and at Amgen, where she oversaw oncology communications. An Associate of the Sisters of Notre Dame, Christiana is thrilled to join the NDA community and looks forward to deepening relationships with alumnae and supporters who share a love for this school and its mission.

Making a Difference for the Next Generation of Regals On Saturday, May 9, the Notre Dame Academy community gathered at The Beverly Hilton for the seventh Annual Making a Difference Gala, an unforgettable evening in support of tuition assistance and the bright futures of NDA students.

The evening began with a lively cocktail hour filled with connection, surprise raffle items, music from our DJ, and the unmistakable energy of the Regal community. As guests entered the ballroom, they were welcomed into an inspiring program hosted by seniors Olivia D. and Izzy K., who brought joy and confidence to the stage.

The program opened with a beautiful student performance from Into the Woods, followed by remarks from president and head of school Lilliam Paetzold ’84, whose words reflected the heart of NDA’s mission and the power of our community’s shared commitment.

“An NDA education, at its heart, is about empowerment,” said Ms. Paetzold. “It is about giving our students the opportunity to discover who they are, what they are passionate about, and how they can use their gifts to make a difference in the world.”

Before dinner, guests were invited to raise a glass through a special champagne auction, which set a joyful and generous tone for the night.

Because the gala was held the Saturday before Mother’s Day, NDA also took a special moment to honor the women in the room by handing out yellow rose pins, which are a symbol of Mary, our Blessed Mother, whose faith, grace, and love continue to inspire the Notre Dame tradition.

The live auction brought excitement and incredible generosity to the ballroom, with guests bidding on one-of-a-kind packages including a trip to Italy, a private wine tasting with Adam Reinart, wine director of Stoa Wine Bar, brunch at John O’Groats for 15 guests, a year of Alana’s Coffee Roasters coffee, and an impressive VIP sports package featuring experiences with the Rams, Kings, Los Angeles Angels, and Sparks, and a VIP graduation experience.

One of the most powerful moments of the evening came during the tuition assistance portion of the program, when paddles filled the air in support of the next generation of Regals. Together, the community raised a record-breaking amount, ensuring that more students can access the life-changing gift of an NDA education.

The evening concluded with a celebration of this year’s honorees.

Bruno and Ellen Tonin and their daughters, Dr. Carolyn Hoffman ’87 and Dr. Michele Doll ’90, received the Spirit of NDA Award and were introduced by former president, Sr. Gina Marie Blunck SND ’64.

“The Sisters modeled that making a difference isn’t a vague ideal; it is a discipline,” said Dr. Hoffman. “They taught that resilience and unwavering kindness are the bedrock of purpose, while showing us that leadership is a privileged call to action, and empowering us to be women who empower others.”

An Exchange of Ideas at the VEX Robotics Educators Conference Manny Guardado, NDA’s director of exploratory approach and a rocketry and robotics teacher, presented at this year’s VEX Robotics Educators Conference in St. Louis.

His talk centered on creating more access points for young women to enter STEM fields, a topic Mr. Guardado asserts is very close to his heart.

“Notre Dame Academy has been intentional about weaving robotics and innovation into our curriculum, not as an add-on, but as a core part of how we prepare students for the world they will inherit,” he remarked.

“What has made this journey especially meaningful is watching it grow.”

The conference ran alongside the VEX Worlds Championships, an international robotics competition that draws thousands of students, coaches, and educators from around the world.

The unique blend of conference and competition provided opportunities for Mr. Guardado to make new connections with fellow robotics educators, learn cutting-edge strategies from other robotics programs, and attain hands-on experience testing new educational technology. These included VEX AIM, an AI-powered robotics platform, and VEX Air, a soon-to-be-released drone program that can expand robotics education.

“I fully expect this to be fruitful for NDA in the near future,” Mr. Guardado said of his time at the conference.

“NDA has always believed that our students deserve access to the best, most current tools and ideas, and I’m proud to say that our seat at the table in St. Louis helped ensure that continues to be true.”

Athletics Soccer delivered one of the most historic seasons in recent NDA Athletics history, capturing the Angelus League Championship for the first time in over 15 years. The team’s success was fueled by relentless effort, resilience, and a commitment to competing together every match. Memorable moments included dramatic late-game victories, standout defensive performances, and a season defined by heart and determination. The Regals also celebrated numerous All-League honors, including Angelus League MVP Jocelyn C. ’28 and Offensive MVP Ila B. ’26. Senior Lidia C. earned team MVP honors and will continue her soccer career at Santa Monica College.

Basketball continued its upward momentum this season with a 17–11 overall record and a CIF playoff run that showcased the team’s grit, resilience, and strong culture. Competing in the highly competitive Angelus League, the Regals secured a playoff berth with an exciting Senior Night victory and advanced to the second round of CIF postseason play. Throughout the season, the team embraced a selfless, team-first mentality that became the foundation of the program’s success. Individual honors included First Team All-Angelus League recognition for Karisma H. ’28 and Stacy Y. ’28, while Grace S. ’29 earned Second Team honors. Stacy was also named the team’s MVP after another standout season leading the Regals on and off the court.

Beach Volleyball continued to establish itself as one of NDA’s fastest-growing and most competitive programs. The varsity team finished with a strong 6–1 Mission League record, advanced to CIF playoffs, and competed against several top Division I programs throughout the season. Highlights included tournament play in Santa Barbara, marquee matchups at Long Beach City College, and the continued growth of both the varsity and JV programs.

Sophomore and senior leadership helped define the season, while seniors Sophia S. and Nessa N. ’26 captured the Mission League Pairs Championship in a memorable finals victory. Sophia will continue her volleyball career at University of Portland, while Ava M. ’26 will play Division I volleyball at Boston College.

Track & Field athletes delivered an impressive season filled with personal records, league finalists, and continued growth across sprinting, distance, jumping, and relay events. The JV program saw standout performances from emerging underclassmen, including a second-place finish in the Angelus League Finals for the 4x100 relay team. On the varsity side, several athletes climbed NDA’s historical record lists, including Giovanna G. ’26 in the long jump and Kaila P. ’28 in the 800 meters. Coaches praised the team’s dedication, discipline, and competitive mindset as athletes

continued to push themselves while building a strong foundation for the program's future.

Swim celebrated a season defined by adaptability, positivity, and perseverance in and out of the pool.

Throughout the year, swimmers consistently improved times, supported one another, and embraced the challenges of a demanding season with enthusiasm and determination. Both the JV and varsity teams saw significant growth, highlighted by a relay team and individual swimmer

NDA Marathoners Tackle the L.A. Course For many people, running a marathon is a once-ina-lifetime achievement. For NDA faculty members Dr. Oscar Navarro, assistant head of school, all-girls middle school, and math teacher Mr. Glen Janken, it’s a hobby.

Both participated in the Los Angeles Marathon this year; Mr. Janken ran for the sixth time, and Dr, Navarro completed his ninth.

Mr. Janken said that adding more running to his already-established exercise routines didn’t feel like a big change for the six months he trained, and getting to see less-visited parts of L.A. during his longer runs made the process more enjoyable.

“I really believe that anyone can do a marathon–just like anyone can do calculus!” he said.

Dr. Navarro began running in 2014 and quickly learned that it helped him decompress in addition to staying healthy. He ran his first L.A. Marathon three years later and has continued to do so every year since.

“One thing that kept me going was my sister, Celia, joining me for four of those nine marathons,” Dr. Navarro said. “The other contributing factor was joining run clubs, which added a social and friendship aspect with people who shared the same passion.”

Neither runner is very concerned with speed or breaking records—they agree that finishing every one of those 26.2 miles is a reward all its own.

NDA Athletics also proudly recognized its outstanding multisport athletes, with 34 Regals competing in two or even three sports throughout the school year. Law Pathway Provides New Experiential Learning Opportunity for Regals

how the popular social science teacher discovered the fledgling legal talent of senior Rebecca A., who not only competed in Mock Trial for three years but also excelled in Mr. Dunkle’s Criminal and Civil Law class.

“I thought I’d be a doctor, but watching a Mock Trial final when I was in eighth grade got me interested,” said Rebecca. “Turns out I’m a good arguer, and I can be passionate about causes. The Law Pathway has given me opportunities to develop my voice and my confidence. All credit goes to Mr. Dunkle.”

It was her first assignment in the Civil and Criminal Law class that hooked fellow senior Sophia C. on political science. After Sophia was tasked with writing the opening statement, Mr. Dunkle invited her to join Mock Trial, which led to representing NDA at Girls State, the law seminar class, and capstone research on how the federal government could regulate AI political deepfakes.

“I got to live the law on the state, city, and county levels as the mayor at Girls State,” said Sophia. “[It was just one of the ways] NDA was proactive in connecting me with experiential learning opportunities.”

Both students also interned last summer with Barrera & Associates, a law firm owned by Pat Barrera, NDA parent ’18, ’22, and ’23, and former board member.

“Even over a short period, the interns have been able to make meaningful contributions,” said Mr. Barrera.

“They start out with filing, etc., and by the end are attending depositions and even suggesting notes. I’ve been impressed with their confidence and initiative. They are super smart and capable and have shown you don’t need a law degree to contribute.”

If you ask Mr. Dunkle, this is all according to plan – or pathway – and represents the culmination of his efforts to develop a pilot for specialty fields, “a tiered partnership, with college students, law students, firstyear attorneys, partners, and judges to offer advice from every level for networking and more.”

In addition to coursework in Civil and Criminal Law and advanced Legal Seminar, and competing in Mock Trial, the growing Law Pathway features field experiences at civil and criminal courthouses and law schools; guest speakers, including attorneys, judges, and law professors; research, writing, and public speaking experiences; shadow opportunities and summer internships; and a partnership with Mount St. Mary’s University.

“This isn’t just listening to speakers,” said Mr. Dunkle. “It’s an opportunity to grow in confidence, demonstrate motivation, [so that] they know they can handle it – they can do this work.

It also gives students more ownership of their high school experience as they prepare for college and career.”

To celebrate the pathway and expand opportunities for young women exploring careers in law, NDA hosted current students, alumnae from the legal field, and parents for an evening of conversation, connection, and collaboration on April 15.

“This place is really special,” continued Mr. Dunkle, “and this is one way to keep people invested, to pay it forward.”

Class of 2018 alumna and newly minted attorney Caroline Rothans agrees. Mr. Dunkle influenced her to consider studying law. “He was the one person – besides my dad – who told me in high school that I would be a good lawyer…I loved my experience at NDA…I felt valued there. It made me want to give back, and while I have the time, I’m going to do what I can to help.”

Rich Havel former NDA Board chair speaks with alumnae and former parents at the law pathways gathering.

NDA Parent Taps Dr. Navarro for Assist on Trade Article Oscar Navarro, assistant head of school for NDA’s all-girls middle school, recently co-authored a scholarly article on how to keep women in the STEM field of nondestructive testing. The article, published in the journal Materials Evaluation, was spearheaded by and written with NDA middle school parent Marybeth Miceli, the executive director of the Nondestructive Testing Management Association (NDTMA) and president of Miceli Infrastructure Consulting LLC. Dr. Navarro and Ms. Miceli identified what they called a “leaky pipe” throughout the materials evaluation career lifecycle: critical moments during which women left the industry, like entry into field roles and transitions to senior leadership. They also analyzed how pay equity, scheduling, mentorship, and other interventions can increase retention.

The article has roots in Dr. Navarro’s doctoral dissertation, which discussed success factors and challenges women with computer science-related majors face in their first two years of college.

“I have seen firsthand the power of women in STEM, and when I went into my doctoral program, I knew I was going to use my NDA experience as the foundation for my research,” he said.

College Signings NDA Athletics proudly celebrated three senior student-athletes who will continue both their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level. Senior Lidia C. signed to continue her soccer career at Santa Monica College after helping lead NDA Soccer to an historic Angelus League Championship season. Ava M., a standout leader and fouryear varsity volleyball player, signed to play Division I volleyball at Boston College following an exceptional career filled with All-League honors and leadership on and off the court. Sophia S. will continue her volleyball career at the University of Portland after helping lead NDA Beach Volleyball to one of its strongest seasons in program history, including a Mission League Pairs Championship alongside teammate Nessa N. These three Regals exemplify the dedication, perseverance, and excellence that define NDA Athletics, and their accomplishments continue to inspire the next generation of student-athletes.

That research connected Dr. Navarro and Ms. Miceli through her conference presentations and organization work. After his dissertation was published, Ms. Miceli reached out about collaborating on an article. The result combines Dr. Navarro’s research with Ms. Miceli’s extensive experience to communicate key points about the materials evaluation field.
