College students crave relationships. They have needs and longings that can only be met by a loving Redeemer. The Psalmist cries out: “...be gracious to me for I am lonely and afflicted; the troubles of my heart are enlarged, bring me out of my distresses.” (Psalm 25:16-17) RUF hears the longings of a college student; the cry of the human heart. Whether preaching at Large Group, leading a Small Group Bible study, or counseling one-onone, our staff is telling the story of a loving Redeemer who will transform a student’s life.

This year, we saw record attendance at Summer Conference, our largest total number of Interns, more women serving as Campus Staff, two new HBCU ministries, and more college students asking the important questions.

Nations around the world are sending their young people to be educated on U.S. college campuses, and our RUF-I ministry staff is reaching students who are hearing the Gospel for the first time. When I think about what the Church will be like in another 20 years, I think of our RUF students whose hearts are being changed today."

Our ministry staff has the privilege of walking with students through hard and lonely times, drawing them to the community of faith, showing patience with their questions of faith and doubt, and providing a friend in sadness and celebration. They begin relationships that see students come to faith in Jesus. 20 years later, those students are serving churches, raising children, and making much of Jesus and His kindness."

RUF Students Impacting The World
At Summer Conference in May, RUF students volunteered their time with Sheds of Hope, a ministry that provides practical relief to communities and families affected by natural disasters.
It was an incredible opportunity for RUF to model to our students and the community that our faith in Jesus propels us to enter into all kinds of need, devastation, and hurt in order to offer help. At RUF, we strive to equip and encourage our students to be the hands and feet of Jesus throughout their lifetimes, so that the next generation of the Church will continue growing the legacy of service and mercy to their local communities.
RUF built 18 sheds as well as doors and supports with Sheds of Hope
RUF raised over $12,000 for hurricane disaster relief in Panama City Beach
In 3 weeks, students did the work it would take one person working 40 hours a week for 33 weeks
