The September 29, 2018 board meeting of the Sidney Central School Alumni Association was attended by several students of Sidney High: Collin Searles, President of the Student Council and Justin Santiago, Vice President of the Student Council as well as the SCSAA Leadership Fellows Sarah Bessett and Glenn Rogers. At the suggestion of director Kerri Green, Collin and Glenn spoke about how the SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) leaders of Sidney High have participated in and benefitted from the annual four day New York State Teen Institute Conference each fall. Teen Institute is a youth leadership program that begins with a four day training program to develop leadership skills and to engage in Strategic Prevention workshops and team building activities.
