Health is not everything – but without health everything is nothing. The latest figures from our industry association, the German Fitness Association – DSSV e. V. – show encouraging developments in this regard: The industry is growing to

11.3 million members in German fitness and health facilities, and more and more people are becoming enthusiastic about an active lifestyle.

As the leading trade show and platform, FIBO is an important indicator for the external image of the entire fitness, wellness and health industry vis-à-vis politicians, media outlets and the general public. A special highlight of the event is the new FIBO Campus. Im Fokus steht die dynamische Schnittmenge von Therapie und Training. Physiotherapeuten und Sportmediziner arbeiten zusammen und tauschen ihre Erkenntnisse zum gegenseitigen Nutzen aus.

Der Place-to-be für alle Physiotherapeuten, die sich zu aktuellen Chancen und Herausforderungen austauschen und praktische

Tipps mitnehmen wollen, ist der Physio Summit von PHYSIO-DEUTSCHLAND.

FIBO CAMPUS

The FIBO Campus will take place this year in the Congress Centre North of Koelnmesse and is the umbrella for the education and training program of FIBO 2024. All fee-based offers are combined in one ticket, which also includes admission to FIBO.

Visitors receive exclusive access to the FIBO Congress, the three-day specialist congress for fitness, prevention and health. Organised by the German University for Prevention and Health Management (DHfPG) and the BSA Academy, it offers practical insights into training, nutrition, mental fitness/coaching, corporate health management as well as setting up business and management of fitness and health facilities from 11 to 13 April.

The symposium on sports medicine and physiotherapy „When therapy becomes training“, which is organised by Georg-Thieme-Verlag and Sportärztezeitung, will also take place under the FIBO Campus umbrella. The focus is

on the dynamic intersection of therapy and training. Physiotherapists and sports physicians work together and exchange their findings for mutual benefit.

PHYSIO-DEUTSCHLAND‘s Physio Summit is the place to be for all physiotherapists who want to discuss current opportunities and challenges and take away practical tips.

FIBO Friday is all about exercise with the Exercise is Medicine Summit. Highranking scientists will focus on the topics of mobile urban development, women‘s health and the mega-trend of artificial intelligence.

Die FIBO 2024 wird zum Mekka für Fans des American Football. Eine eigene Area in Halle 4.1 bildet das Herz des Communityevents für Fans und Aktive, Coaches and TeamOfficials. Mit dem Festival schafft die FIBO in Kooperation mit der European League of Football GamedayAtmosphäre und mitreißende Liveerlebnisse für die ganze Familie. Neben Tryouts und Games gibt es Livetalks mit prominenten Gesichtern und Experten.

Strongmen Area

Zum Auftakt der Strongman-Saison finden an Stand D45 Wettkämpfe der drei höchsten deutschen StrongmanLigen sowie ein Wettkampf für Newcomer und Newcomerinnen statt.

Fighting Fit

In der Area Fighting Fit kann neben Wrestling auch Grappling und Muay Thai bestaunt und ausprobiert werden.

FIBO FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

FIBO 2024 will be a mecca for fans of American football. A dedicated area in Hall 4.1 will form the heart of the community event for fans and active players, coaches and team of-

ficials. With the festival, FIBO, in cooperation with the European League of Football, creates a gameday atmosphere and thrilling live experiences for the whole family. In addition to tryouts and games, there will be live talks with prominent faces and experts.

To kick off the strongman season, competitions from the three highest German strongman leagues as well as a competition for newcomers will take place at Stand D45.

HYROX ist einer der globalen Top-Ten-Fitnesstrends. Bei der FIBO-Premiere 2023 konnte HYROX 2.700 teilnehmende Athleten verzeichnen. 2024 möchte der Veranstalter die 5.000er-Marke knacken.

Dafür steht in diesem Jahr die komplette Halle 10.1 zur Verfügung, wo die Athleten am FIBO-Wochenende um ihre persönlichen Bestzeiten fighten – und das in der FIBO-Atmosphäre.

Der Fachkongress für Expertinnen und Experten aus den Themenfeldern Fitness, Prävention und Gesundheit ist Teil des FIBO Campus. Er wird zum dritten Mal in Folge von der Deutschen Hochschule für Prävention und Gesundheitsmanagement (DHfPG) und der BSAAkademie unter Federführung der FIBO organisiert und durchgeführt.

Renommierte Speaker aus der Fitnessund Gesundheitsbranche sprechen in über 80 Vorträgen über aktuelle Entwicklungen in den Themensträngen Training, Management von Fitness- und Gesundheitsanlagen, Ernährung, Betrieb-

liches Gesundheitsmanagement (BGM), Mentale Fitness/Coaching und Existenzgründung. Von 10:00 Uhr bis 17:00 finden an den drei Kongresstagen jeweils sechs Vorträge (45 Minuten) zu unterschiedlichen Themensträngen parallel statt. Starke Frauen für eine starke Gesellschaft

Der Ladies Lunch wurde auf der FIBO 2023 eingeführt und stieß auf große Begeisterung. Da ist klar, dass das Netzwerktreffen der Frauen der Branche auch 2024 wieder fortgesetzt wird.

Doch dabei soll es nicht bleiben. FIBOVeranstalter RX Deutschland ehrt gemeinsam mit dem Female Future Festival Frauen mit dem RX Female Award, die durch ihr außergewöhnliches Engagement, ihre Entschlossenheit und Kompetenz als Vorbilder in ihrer Branche agieren. Der Award wird 2024 im Rahmen des Ladies Lunch durch Tijen Onaran vergeben.

Auch in ihrem Programm setzt die Leitmesse neue Maßstäbe und integriert den Themenkomplex Empowerment mit einem Panneltalk zum Thema Empowerment durch Balance: Unternehmerinnengeist, Ausdauer und Leidenschaft mit den Speakerinnen Tijen Onaran, Denise Schindler und Céleste Kleinjans.

The Ladies Lunch was introduced at FIBO 2023 and was met with great enthusiasm. It is therefore clear that the networking meeting for women in the industry will continue in 2024.

But it won‘t stop there. FIBO organiser RX Deutschland, together with the Female Future Festival, is honouring women with the RX Female Award who act as role models in their industry through their exceptional commitment, determination and expertise. The award will be presented at the Ladies Lunch in 2024.

The leading trade show is also setting new standards in its programme and is increasingly integrating the topic of empowerment with a panel talk on empowerment through balance: entrepreneurial spirit, perseverance and passion with the speakers Tijen Onaran, Denise Schindler and Céleste Kleinjans.

The three-day FIBO Congress will take place from 11 to 13 April at Koelnmesse‘s Congress Centre North, directly at the North Entrance next to Hall 8.

The specialist congress for experts from the fields of fitness, prevention and health is part of FIBO Campus. It is being organised and held for the third time in a row by the German University for Prevention and Health Management (DHfPG) and the BSA Academy under the auspices of FIBO.

Renowned speakers from the fitness and health industry will give over 80 presentations on current developments in the areas of training, management of fitness and health facilities, nutrition, company health management (BGM), mental fitness/coaching and business start-ups. From 10:00 to 17:00, six lectures (45 minutes) on different topics will be held in parallel on each of the three congress days. Participants can transfer the practice-orientated content directly into their everyday studio life. The presentations at the FIBO Congress will be held in German.

In the Speakers Corner, interested parties can exchange ideas with the speakers after the presentations. In addition, the congress lounge and terrace offer plenty of space for networking.

Visitors can also benefit from the combination of congress and trade show at short notice by purchasing an upgrade campus ticket for their valid FIBO ticket from just 89 euros.

Symposium Sportmedizin & Sportphysiotherapie

„When therapy becomes training“ lautet das Motto am FIBO-Samstag im CC Nord. Georg Thieme und die sportärtzezeitung verbinden in ihrem Symposium funktionelle Diagnostik, Therapie, Training und Prävention. Die Themen sind: Phytonährstoffe und deren epigenetische Entzündungsmodulation in der Sportmedizin, die tiefliegende autochthone Rückenmuskulatur sowie die Diagnostik und Rehabilitation patellofemoraler Schmerzen.

„When therapy becomes training“ is the motto on the Saturday of FIBO at CC Nord. In their symposium, Georg Thieme and the sportärtzezeitung combine functional diagnostics, therapy, training and prevention. The topics are: Phytonutrients and their epigenetic modulation of inflammation in sports medicine, the deep-lying autochthonous back muscles and the diagnosis and rehabilitation of patellofemoral pain.

Physio Congress

Am Samstag, den 13. April, präsentiert PHYSIO-DEUTSCHLAND im CC Nord den Physio Congress mit akuellen Themen aus der Welt der Physiotherapie: Behandlungsstrategien hüftbezogener Schmerzen, Mitarbeitergewinnung, Akrodynamische Therapie, Sport trotz Verletzung und Schmerzen sowie Kernstabilität bei chronischen Rückenschmerzen.

Physio Future

Am Freitag, den 12. April, zeigt PHYSIO-DEUTSCHLAND jungen Physiotherapeuten im CC Nord Chancen und Möglichkeiten für den Berufseinstieg nach der Ausbildung auf – in der Praxis und im Profisport. On Saturday, 13 April, PHYSIODEUTSCHLAND will be presenting the Physio Congress at CC Nord with current topics from the world of physiotherapy: treatment strategies for hiprelated pain, staff recruitment, acrodynamictherapy, sport despite injury and pain and core stability in chronic back pain.

On Friday 12 April, PHYSIODEUTSCHLAND will be showing young physiotherapists at CC Nord the opportunities and possibilities for starting their careers after training - in practice and in professional sport. Topics include: innovative sports orthopaedic rehabilitation, sports physiotherapy in competitive sport and what training can do outside of fitness.

An international programme at the Future Forum in Hall 7, Stand C64 for studio operators and decision-makers focuses on the future of the industry, digitalisation and start-ups. The Future Forum offers the perfect stage for disruptive approaches, the latest trends and sets bold impulses for a strong industry.

Am Meeting Point Health werden sowohl für Experten als auch interessierten Besuchern Vorträge und Diskussionsrunden zu den Themen Physiotherapie, Sportmedizin, Prävention sowie Frauengesundheit und Long Covid geboten.
