Know the basics before you start Prior to starting the tender writing process it is important to ensure that you clearly understand the job that is being asked of you including any timeframes, equipment required, contractual obligations, staffing arrangements and financial expenses. As a tender writer you need to be sure that you fully understand all the terms and condition of the tender. For example, does the tender state that your business must commit for a 12-month period? If so, is your business in a position to do this? Does the tender state that you must engage with sub-contractors to be eligible? If yes, is this viable for you? Don’t waste your time with the tender writing process without first knowing everything you are committing and being 100% sure that you can do the job that is expected of you.
