Red Sky Cup Individual Match Play

Format: Individual match play brackets. We will have a men’s gross, net, and ladies division for all members to play.

Tees: Men’s Gross - Blue Tees

Men’s Net - Gold Tees + Rule of 75 or 95

Ladies - Red Tees + Rule of 75

** To ensure scorecards are ready, please notify the Norman Golf Shop ahead of time that you are playing your match.**

Our season long match play tournament is back with the same format as last year. We will continue to have 3 divisions for members to sign-up and play. Ladies net, men’s gross, and men’s net are the 3 divisions to play in this fun match play tournament.

Our 3 champions for last season will automatically be seeded the #1 spot in each division. All other members that sign up will be seeded based on handicap indexes from lowest to highest.

Each round will have very strict deadlines, so please be considerate of each member and do your best to schedule your match in the given timeframe. Any matches that aren’t completed by the deadline date will be determined by a coin flip.

Coin Flip: If your match isn’t completed by the deadline date a coin flip will be done to determine the match winner. These are strict deadline dates, no extensions will be given to anyone.

Ladies Valley Interclub

Ladies Interclub returns for the 2025 season with Red Sky, Frost Creek, CCR, Sonnenalp, Cordillera, and Beaver Creek clubs all participating. Men’s Day

Red Sky Men’s Day Golf

We will be hosting our Men’s Day games on Friday mornings during our 2025 golf season. We will have tee times available from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. with an optional lunch after golf in the Men’s Locker Room. Sign-ups will be run through Golf Genius and is open to all golf members of Red Sky. Come join us to start your weekends with fun golf games, excellent food, comradery, and friendly competition.

We will continue to host Nine and Dines for the 2025 golf season with 3 select dates. These shotguns will play 9 holes of afternoon golf followed by a themed dinner for members and their guests. This is a great way for people who don’t have time for 18 holes or another excuse to show off Red Sky to some friends.

These events are on Thursday afternoons with a 3:30 p.m. shotgun start on the front nine of either course. We will have 3 different themes for these events and the food will cater toward these themes. Come enjoy a quick 9 hole game and a delicious dinner from our F&B team!

Shark’s Revenge Play with our Golf Professionals

Format: Four members will be paired up with one of our Golf Professionals for a fun round of golf and lunch afterward. Each group will play a 2 net best ball of 5, as we enjoy the opening tournament of the 2024 season.

Our first tournament of the year begins with a fun time playing with our staff of golf professionals. Each group of members will get paired with one of our golf professionals for that round and help win you some early season money. This morning shotgun will be followed by a lunch where we all can come together and try to understand why we all enjoy this fun and challenging game.

This is probably no surprise, but this is our golf staff’s favorite event to run (and play). Hopefully we can all shake some winter rust off our golf game and make a few birdies for the group! Groups will be randomly paired with a golf professional, but feel free to sign up as a single or group of up to 4 members.

Format: Members will pair together for this 2-day tournament. Both men and ladies will play both days and on both courses with four fun 9-hole formats. This exciting tournament ends with a dinner and awards party on Saturday, June 21st.

As summer begins, the first major tournament at Red Sky is set to take place. Beautiful golf, amazing food, unparalleled comradery, and a fun party just for Red Sky Members only. Pair up in teams of 2 for this fun 36-hole tournament where we crown the best male and female teammates in 2025.

For each 9-holes, we will have a fun format for your team to play in this event. Best ball, scramble, and modified alternate shot as we play the Fazio and Norman courses each day. Lunch will be available for all players after each day of play and we will all celebrate our winning teams during the Annual Summer Party and Member-Member Awards on Saturday night!

Independence Day Pool Party and Flag Game

With the summer season in full force, we celebrate our nation’s holiday with a fun week of golf and a pool party! This time of the season we have family and friends visiting us, so feel encouraged to bring them golfing or to the pool party.

On Thursday, July 3rd, we will host our annual family pool party by celebrating the holiday with activities, food and drinks. Additionally, all day on Friday, July 4th, we will have a flag game available for all members and guests to play, if they choose to.

The details for the pool party will be announced at a later time, but we look forward to a great day. Come enjoy the best pool party of the season!

Time: Open tee times all day

Format: Flag Game - Each golfer starts out with a designated number of strokes based on their handicap . Each golfer carries a flag with their name on it as they play and uses the flag to mark where their final shot landed on the course. The player that makes it through the course the farthest using their designated strokes wins.

The premier major tournament of the men’s golf season at Red Sky is the Trailblazer. Bring your favorite guest for the ultimate member-guest tournament in the Rockies! You won’t find a better place to spend 3 days full of golf, food, friends, and beautiful views.

We will seperate all teams into 12 flights with 6 teams in each flight. You will play each team in your flight for one 9-hole match. The best team from each flight will play in a 3-hole shootout to determine our final 3 teams. These 3 teams will battle for the overall title and be called our 2025 Trailblazer Champions.

**Saturday morning, we will be using both courses #1 & #10 tees to play Match 5 between 8:00-9:30 a.m.**

2024 Juniper Champions

We have re-branded the Juniper tournament for the 2025 season. This amazing tournament will now be help for 2 day and 36 holes of golf competition for you and your guest. The party will start on Thursday evening with a fun cocktail party for all players and their spouses. Friday and Saturday morning, all players will play 18 holes of stroke play competitions and the teams with the most points after 36 holes will earn a spot in our playoff for the overall champions.

Flights will be made based on combined team handicaps to allow the same skill levels to compete fairly and enjoy the fun this tournament brings each year. Once we have crowned our 2025 Juniper Champions, everyone will celebrate the tournament with an awards party, dinner and dancing. Don’t forget, spouses are welcome to join the Thursday and Saturday evening party’s with you. We look forward to hosting you for the best ladies member-guest in the Vail Valley!

Club Championships

Men, Ladies, & Senior - Gross & Net

This upcoming season we will bring back our official Club Championship tournament. Players will get to play their own ball for 36 holes of stroke play, converted to stableford points. We will crown a ladies gross and net champion, a men’s gross and net champion, and lastly we will crown a senior gross and net champion in 2025.

We know this event can be intimidating, but come join the game and give it a shot to be crowned club champion! This is a great way to meet some members over competitive rounds, but we always come into the clubhouse for a cocktail and our fun stories from the round.

Format: Each member will play their own ball for all 36 holes and converted to the stableford scoring system. We will have a men’s, ladies, and senior division for all players to choose from. All divisions will have a net and gross division for all players.

Red Sky hosts a yearly junior sports camp for your children and grandchildren to have some fun with us. Over 3 days, in early August, our staff will plan for fun and exciting adventures for your kids. From learning the game of golf, to swimming and hiking, to ice cream and movies, our goal is to provide an experience they will want to keep coming back to each year.

As we get closer to our camp dates, our team will communicate a daily schedule and plan for the 3 days of camp. We look forward to hosting everyone before it is time to head back to school for the next year!

This long standing tournament is a great way for Red Sky couples to meet other couples and test your game against each other. Two days, two courses, 36 holes, and one trophy to crown our 2025 champions. Meeting other couples is a great way to build relationships and comradery that last a lifetime beyond Red Sky.

Ladies, let your husbands rake the bunkers for you as you show them who the best golfer in the family really is now. Gentlemen, be thankful and smile as your wife lets you play 2 days of golf in a row. Bragging rights and a beautiful trophy are at stake to be called the best golf couple at Red Sky. Couples who play together, stay together!

The official Ryder Cup was started in 1927 and is a great team competition between the United States and Europe. At Red Sky, we have created two teams named after the two architects of our beautiful golf courses. Team Fazio, captained by Shaun Wright, will play against Team Norman, captained by Andrew Hedrick over 2 days and 36 holes of competition.

This event starts off with a fun pairings party on Thursday evening where both captains will draft players to each of their teams. We will have cocktails and hors d’oeuvres while we determine our two teams.

Once we have our two teams set, we will play one day of Fourball match play and another day of Singles match play to determine our winning team in 2025!

Vail Veterans

The Vail Veterans Program has been a staple in the Vail Valley for 20 years now! Last year was a great turnout for both days of play and our veterans enjoyed playing our courses with our membership. We look forward to hosting this fun event in 2025 and welcome back any members that wish to play with our military veterans.

This season, both days of playing with the veterans will be a shotgun start. Tuesday, we will be starting at 11:00 a.m. and Wednesday will be a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. We hope to build more comradery and support with this program in making these adjustments. Come join us for either day!

Format: 4-Player Shamble - Each player will hit their own tee shot and the team will select the best shot of the foursome. From there, each player will play their own golf ball until it is holed. The team score will be the best 2 net golf balls of the 4 on each hole.

We implemented and reintroduced the Ladies One Day Member-Guest tournament to showcase our beautiful club and membership. We will host this one day tournament for members to bring 1 or 3 guests. This is a great event for those members that can’t find enough time to play in a 3-day tournament.

Breakfast, golf, tee prizes, and lunch are all included in this event. Members are welcome to sign up with 1 or 3 guests to host on the Fazio course. A fun format with multiple ways to win some cash for your group will end with cocktails and more delicious food.

The Couples Member-Guest means football season is back and fall is just around the corner. Each year, we celebrate the end of this tournament with a fun tailgate party as the college football season begins. Bring out your favorite couple to play a round of golf as the fall colors are starting to begin.

This special event will close out the 2025 season for our golf tournaments at Red Sky. Hopefully, the Aspen trees will start to change colors as you make the turn to the beautiful back nine of our Fazio golf course. Let’s end the golf season crowning a pair of couples as our champions!
