Language allows us to reach out to people, to touch them with our innermost fears, hopes, disappointments, victories. To reach out to people we'll never meet.
It's the greatest legacy you could ever leave your children or your loved ones: The history of how you felt. Borrowed words from Simon Van Booy, we call this August month our Legacy Issue for Japan. They are currently halfway through the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, and despite all the challenges, they pursued the event; not for honor or pride alone but more so, their legacy and the legacy of all those who have participated and contributed to achieving their goals. They say victory cannot be measured by wins alone but by how brave we face the consequences of our actions. We congratulate each and everyone for going through the hurdles and remained unshaken. May you always be a source of joy and inspiration to the world.
