The Netherlands, a country in Northwestern Europe, where the city of Rotterdam sits and continues to amaze us despite travel limitations. For a while, the normalcy in the beloved country changed, but so is the rest of the world. The transition was inevitable, and a shift was necessary for terms of policies and safety measures brought about by a global catastrophe. It was and still is a matter of life and death, but the love for music is much more. It is our universal language that keeps us connected. And Eurovision is a realization of a dream for many Europeans, and it's something that has long been imbibed in their cultural DNA. 2020 may have been halted, but 2021 never gave up. Forty-one countries participated in the said event. The show became even more entertaining and emotional as the call for cooperation was clearly communicated through their theme to "Open Up," a shoutout befitting not only Europeans but the entire humanity.
