Whether it’s in a library or a Pop up Library at one of our beautiful parks, all First 5 Forever sessions are family-friendly, free and lots of fun!

First 5 Forever tip: Letter spotto

Try pointing out letters from your child’s names in books, signs and papers. As time goes on, you can have fun going on letter hunts and even word hunts!

Pick up helpful literacy tips, share fun activities to try at home, and enjoy time with your little one as we create a community that loves reading and learning together.

Calling all magical creatures with wondrous wizardry powers. It’s time again for our annual legendary Harry Potter afternoon at Capalaba Library.

Witches, wizards and muggles from all around are invited on a magical journey of their own — through enchanting games, magical crafts and bewitching activities.

Dress up in your most mystical outfit, and prepare to embark on a magical Harry Potter themed journey.

Papercutting art workshop

Create a stunning fruit still life using contemporary papercutting techniques. Guided by artist Pamela See, this art workshop pays homage to early Chinese gardeners of the Redlands who helped farm grapes, citrus, lychees, maize and pineapples, and established the local banana industry.
