Redford Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund
Each year the Redford Chamber of Commerce takes applications from Redford residents that are high school seniors so that we can award some of them with scholarships. They are judged on their academic achievement along with other things that are valuable in building good character in our future leaders.
The Chamber hosts two events to fund the cost of these scholarship for the students:
Bowling Extravagnza
Each February/March, in support of our non-profit Redford Chamber Scholarship Fund, we host our bowling extravaganza. The Scholarship Fund supports qualifying Redford resident high school seniors by donating money towards their tuition for their first year of college. To date, the Chamber has awarded over $100,000 in scholarship funding. From novice bowlers to experts, the only requirement for this event is to come and have fun!
Scholarship Dinner and Raffle
This is another event held to support the Redford Chamber Scholarship Fund. The dinner and raffle take place in November, and brings together over 300 people for dinners, deserts, and libations. Each ticket holder is entered into our reverse raffle, licensed by the State of Michigan, where the winner could walk away with $5,000. In addition to the reverse raffle, we are simultaneously playing bingo and drawing for even more prizes!
