Redeye Label of the Month Q&A Learn more about our partners in our Monthly Label Spotlight!

This Issue: Rob Collins and Martin Goldschmidt at Cooking Vinyl

How did you personally get started in the music industry? Rob - I wrote letters to anyone I could think of and miraculously Island Records invited me to interview for a job in the post room, that I got. This was 1979! MG - As a political activist I was inspired by rock against racism and decided to set up the equivalent for the anti nuclear (CND and environmental) movement called No Nukes Music. When and where did the label begin? MG - My first label started in 1982 when I couldn’t get anyone to release a single of a band I was working with (Akimbo) and so I set up my own label (Forward Sounds International) and released it. Pete Lawrence joined in 1986 and this morphed into Cooking Vinyl. What is the meaning behind the name for the label? MG - After a bottle of finest scotch malt whisky the name made complete sense to us??? How has the label changed since it started? Rob - Small when I started in 1999 and not accustomed to success. Now we aim high on everything we do, and with Exceleration involved, there isn’t a limit. MG - When we started we got lucky with our 2nd release with Michelle Shocked, Texas Campfire Tapes. We made every mistake in the book. 40 years later we have learnt how to run a label successfully. How would you describe your overall ambitions and goals as a label from when you first started compared to now? MG - Started off to support artists, and make great music available. We still do this but have added making a profit to this list… How would you describe the average fan of the label? Rob - Someone who loves great music I suppose, although that’s very subjective MG - We are too diverse to have an “average fan.” Not sure if we have any fans? Where do you go to search for new music? Who or what has been a new find (on the label or otherwise) you’d like to rave about? Rob - I get sent a lot of music and I love discovering music, usually on Spotify as that is my preferred DSP. I was blown away by Katherine Priddy’s voice when her manager sent that to. We’ve made 2 albums with her that I’m very proud of. We know you can’t choose, but what’s been your favorite label release, and why? Rob - The Prodigy - Invaders Must Die. Changed the trajectory of the label. MG - Agreed What’s the wildest marketing promotion you’ve ever worked on for any release? Rob - Brass d****s for Psychic TV. MG - Magic mushroom tea for the Poisongirls.

If you had the budget, what would be your dream “outsidethe-box” or “crossover” marketing campaign? Rob - Burn a million pounds! MG - Put a £20 note in every CD sold. What is your stance on color vinyl? What’s the most unique color LP or overall packaging you’ve ever seen or released? Rob - I embrace it. My favourite packaging that we done recently is an Orb box set in a wrap around hexagonal sleeve that opens up like a flower. MG: All of our Alan Parsons Project Box Sets are pretty special. How do you feel about the rising costs of vinyl records? And what about the continued popularity of the CD format? Rob - We just follow the economics but try to keep vinyl prices competitive with other indies. MG - We sell tons of CDs so long live the CD! What in your opinion has been the biggest change in the music industry from when you first started compared to now? Rob - First streaming and now AI. MG - Now anyone can get their music distributed - gatekeepers are gone. How do you view the issue of being environmentally sustainable within the music industry? Rob - It’s a difficult one but we work with suppliers that help us do that. We support Music Declares Emergency. MG - We 100% support these campaigns. Just 36 fossil fuel companies produce over half the world’s CO2. Saudi Aramco alone accounts for around 4.3% of global emissions — more than any single entity on the planet, more than most countries. Scientists have now directly linked Aramco, with Gazprom, Exxon, Shell, BP and Chevron, to specific deadly heatwaves that would otherwise have been “virtually impossible.” So when we talk about the heat dome, we can name names. My point isn’t that personal choices don’t matter. It’s that “we all need to do our bit” can’t be the headline when a dozen corporations and an unaccountable, unreported military sector — including the wars our own governments fund and arm — are driving so much of this. That’s where the campaigning needs to be. How important are issues like mental health and social justice to you and the label? Rob - They are are important to me personally so I hope that’s reflected in the label as well. MG - Ethics are more important than profit. Want to shout out a personal favorite record store or retail establishment? Now’s your chance: Rob - Rough Trade in London. I’ve been buying records from them since 1976. I bought “Anarchy in the UK” from them when it came out on EMI. They say our sun will explode in about 5 billion years or sohow would you like the label to be remembered? Rob - I hope we’re not forgotten and are able to leave some kind of legacy or cultural footprint. MG - Fondly remembered.

Long before streaming services, podcasts, or even the compact disc, there was Tellus—a radically ambitious publication that imagined recorded sound as an exhibition space. Founded in 1983 in downtown New York, Tellus transformed the humble audio cassette into a magazine, commissioning and publishing new works by musicians, composers, visual artists, poets, writers, choreographers, and performers who were reshaping the boundaries of contemporary art. Each issue invited listeners into a world where no wave, industrial music, spoken word, Fluxus performance, electroacoustic composition, downtown pop, conceptual art, and avant-garde experimentation could coexist on equal footing. For Earth Libraries, restoring Tellus represents a continuation of the label's commitment to preserving overlooked musical histories. Working from the original cassette masters, every recording on TELLUS: The Audio Cassette Magazine Anthology Vol. 1 has been carefully restored and newly mastered, preserving the warmth, immediacy, and character of the original releases while making them accessible to contemporary audiences for the first time.

30 newly mastered recordings across two metallic silver vinyl LPs, tracing the publication's remarkable journey through experimental music, sound art, spoken word, and downtown New York culture. Housed in deluxe packaging, the release includes a booklet featuring new liner notes by Thurston Moore, original artist biographies, and an 11" × 17" reproduction of an original Tellus promotional poster UPC: 7012209170784

LORENZO SENNI | ALL AGES

OVERVIEW Italian multidisciplinary artist and electronic musician Lorenzo Senni will release his sixth studio album, All Ages, through Warp Records on November 20th 2026. The album, his first since 2020’s Scacco Matto, explores the electronic genres he’s best known for (experimental trance, rave) through the lens of hardcore punk; across music, skateboarding and straightedge culture.

FILE UNDER • S/ELECTRONIC RELEASE DATE • 2026-11-20 SITE • LORENZOSENNI.WARP.NET

All Ages presents itself as an, in Senni’s own words, “internal revolt.” In making use of vocals for the first time and breaking from his previously self-imposed limitations, Senni uses the spirit of hardcore to fuel his enthusiasm for the future, and to re-engage more tacitly in the music-making process. The album includes guest appearances from iconic American skateboarders Chad Muska and Jamie Thomas, and Jamie Stewart of experimental indie rock band Xiu Xiu.

HAWK ISOBEL CAMPBELL & MARK LANEGAN Released 11/06/2026 Released 11/20/2026

Isobel Campbell (ex-Belle & Sebastian) and Mark Lanegan (ex-Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age) third album Hawk, will be reissued on November 6th on LP and CD. Hawk builds on the critical acclaim of 2006’s Mercury Prize-nominated Ballad of the Broken Seas and 2008’s Sunday at Devil Dirt, solidifying the duo's signature dynamic—Campbell’s ethereal, whispery arrangements juxtaposed against Lanegan’s deep, gravelly baritone. Written, arranged, and produced entirely by Campbell, Hawk was recorded across studios in Scotland, England, and the United States. The 13-track record expands their sonic palette far beyond classic countryfolk, venturing into dusty Southern soul, garage-rock stomps, and soaring gospel arrangements. "With this record, I wanted to stretch the canvas further," says Isobel Campbell. "Mark and I have built a true shorthand together over the years, which gave us the freedom to push into heavier grooves, raw blues, and sweeping orchestral textures while keeping the core intimacy intact. Album Highlights & Key Collaborations "You Won't Let Me Down Again" — The album’s lead single, driven by a hypnotic rhythm and featuring a searing guitar solo from former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha. "Come Undone" — A moody, slow-burning Southern soul ballad showcasing Lanegan at his most vulnerable. Townes Van Zandt Covers — Faithfully rendered versions of "Snake Song" and "No Place To Fall," the latter featuring guest vocals from American singer-songwriter Willy Mason. "Lately" — A cinematic album closer that swaps the pair's vocal interplay for a rousing, brass-tinged gospel choir.

Sunday At Devil Dirt Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan Street Street date: date: 10/02/2026 11/20/2026 Tracklist: Side A: 1 Seafaring Song 2 The Raven 3 Salvation 4 Who Built The Road 5 Come On Over (Turn Me On) 6 Back Burner 7 Piano Tango Side B: 1 The Flame That Burns 2 Shotgun Blues 3 Keep Me In Mind, Sweetheart 4 Something To Believe 5 Trouble 6 Sally, Don't You Cry

The long-awaited vinyl and CD re-issue of ‘Sunday At Devil Dirt’ from Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan. Sunday At Devil Dirt is the second full-length collaboration between the former Belle & Sebastian member (Campbell) and Lanegan, the Screaming Trees frontman and parttime QOTSA vocalist. Recorded between studios in the Catskills and Isobel's native Glasgow, Sunday At Devil Dirt is an album of dust bitten ballads and troubled wanderings, easily the equal of its predecessor. Again, Campbell and Lanegan complement each other beautifully, like silk on cracked leather. While continuing to mine the same rich seam of Alt-Country, Folk and Blues of their debut, the new record also embraces a dusty southern gothic, while a sultry, jazzy feel is evident on a number of tracks. As with their debut, the album has been written, produced and arranged by Isobel Campbell, with Lanegan providing lead vocal duties.

The Kilans - Could You Keep It Dark? out 11/20/26

BIO The Kilans are an indie rock band from Salt Lake City known for their raw sound, kinetic guitars, and electrifying live shows. Formed in 2023, the lineup — Jack Ongman (vocals, rhythm guitar), Jacob Shultz (lead guitar), Cooper Brezoff (bass), and David Wiseman (drums) — came together after Jack and Jacob met while skateboarding in college and started jamming in basement sessions that quickly turned into something bigger. Just five months later, they released their debut single "Curly," a burst of unfiltered energy that made waves across the local scene. Their follow-up, "Why Is It Light Out?," sharpened their songwriting and expanded their reach, pairing introspective lyrics with dynamic, guitar-driven production. The track landed them on multiple editorial playlists and marked The Kilans as one of the most promising new voices in indie rock. Now, the band takes their next major step. On October 30, 2026, The Kilans will release their debut album Could You Keep It Dark via Mom and Pop Music. Lily Fitts - Calling It Quits out 11/20/26

TRACKLIST

BIO Raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Lily Fitts is an artist who draws listeners into the nuanced experiences of navigating early adulthood. Through thoughtful lyricism and an effortless melodic sensibility, she captures the changes, contradictions, and inbetween moments that shape who we become. Her songs find beauty in the ordinary and feel both deeply personal and widely understood. She began sharing covers on YouTube at 10 years old and later turned to TikTok at 18, where her honest performances and distinct voice built a following of more than 460K people before she released her debut record. After her cover of “Oklahoma City” reached Zach Bryan, he invited her to join him onstage at his Los Angeles Crypto.com Arena show in front of tens of thousands of fans. Since then, Lily’s audience has only grown more distinct, diverse and dedicated. Her 2025 debut album, Getting By, produced in part by David Baron, introduced Lily as a writer with a clear perspective and a tenacity to her music. Delivered with a rawness and wit that she has neither downplayed or polished away, Getting By surpassed fifteen million streams, connecting with listeners through its honesty and emotional precision. In 2026, Lily steps into her biggest chapter yet. Following successful North American headline runs, she performed at Newport Folk Festival before joining Charles Wesley Godwin on the West Coast, including stops at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco and the Wiltern in Los Angeles. She will also appear at Montreal’s Lasso Festival alongside Mumford & Sons and Turnpike Troubadours, followed by a sold out European headline run with stops in Manchester, London, Paris, Hamburg, Berlin, Dublin, and Amsterdam. Currently writing and recording across Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles, Lily continues to evolve alongside collaborators including Madi Diaz, Sasha Sloan, Beau Bedford, Josiah Leming, Sam Barber, Morgan Nagler, Cheat Codes, and the Felice Brothers. Signed to Mom + Pop, Lily Fitts is building a lasting catalog of songs grounded in thoughtful storytelling, emotional nuance, and a perspective that continues to deepen with every release.

BIO

Mother Soki is among a generation of new artists forging their paths and creating 1.Much Cry, Little Wool music that attracts fans seeking a soul connection. That creativity led her to sign with independent label Mom+Pop early in 2025. A bit farther back in her trajectory, 2.Thicken Mother Soki wasn't even clear about how to pursue music. Carving her way 3.Mussel through adolescence with a fierce artistic drive, though, the Minneapolis-based musician discovered her passion for making music while attending college in 4.Easy Chicago. Attempting to pursue other forms of art and avoiding what was her true 5.The Rot calling, Mother Soki says, “I realized it was far more fulfilling than any art medium I had tried (and I’ve tried a lot), from beginning to end, and even after. Something about the process of music felt so natural to me, even when I did not know how I was doing it, I was just doing it.” Now immersed in her passion for music, Mother Mother Soki ARTIST Soki gravitates toward the dreamy textures of Dream Pop and the sonic nostalgia of Act 2 TITLE the ’90s. Drawing daily inspiration from her surroundings, she channels her LABEL Mom+Pop Music creativity through classic influences: The Sundays, Imogen Heap, and Cocteau CONFIGURATION EP Twins. Her sound blends modern interpretations of vintage synths with heavy DESCRIPTION 12" vinyl guitars and airy, spacious vocals—creating contrasts that shouldn't work, but somehow do. Mother Soki makes the unexpected feel seamless. The lyrics to her CATALOGUE songs create a dreamscape that defies explanation. She adds, “I find music MP1013 UPC intriguing if there is a certain level of vagueness incorporated with lyrics, having 823375325000 layers of metaphors within one big metaphor. I also believe in my own subconscious. If I come up with a metaphor that doesn’t make sense at first, most times, it fits perfectly once it all comes together.” As Mother Soki continues her creative arc, her new EP “Act 2” will be released on November 20, 2026.

STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 20, 2026 When Was the Last Time was the last time for Willie Hale a.k.a. Little Beaver, ending the string of excellent albums he cut for the Cat label that have served as catnip for ‘70s soul-funk collectors. Hale was one of the extraordinarily talented musicians Henry Stone assembled at his Hialeah, FL-based T.K. Records label and its assorted imprints; among the artists who recorded for Stone were K.C. & the Sunshine Band, Timmy Thomas, Gwen McCrae, Betty Wright, and Benny Latimore…and backing them on a lot of those records was Hale, laying down mellow ‘n’ funky, jazz-influenced licks on his hollowbody Gibson. You’ll hear plenty of that Gibson on this 1976 record, which takes a smoother and more mellow approach than its predecessors, with keyboard assistance from Timmy Thomas. “Concrete Jungle” is the pick to click, but the whole album exudes that warm, sultry Miami soul sound. We’ve remastered When Was the Last Time for its first reissue in over 25 years, and pressed it in emerald green vinyl for its 50th anniversary!

THE KOSSOY SISTERS: BOWLING GREEN AND OTHER FOLK SONGS FROM THE SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS (70TH ANNIVERSARY REMASTERED PINK VINYL EDITION) STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 20, 2026 Appalachian folk harmony singing strikes a chord in one’s soul, sounding notes of joy, regret, longing, loss, and faith all in one high, lonesome sound. And the 1956 debut album by The Kossoy Sisters (identical twins Irene and Ellen) is a foundational album in the genre’s canon. Recorded in 1956 by famed Folkways engineer Mel Kaiser for the Tradition label run by Paddy Clancy of Clancy Brothers fame, Bowling Green and Other Folk Songs from the Southern Mountains set the close harmony singing of the sisters to instrumental accompaniment by legendary folkie Erik Darling (Weavers, Rooftop Singers). The effect was devastating and the album’s legacy lasting; despite the Sisters’ splitting up to raise their own families, demand for their music remained constant through the decades, resulting in various reunions, additional recordings both together and separate, and culminating in the Coen Brothers’ prominently placing their recording of “I’ll Fly Away” in the Grammy Award-winning soundtrack to their 2000 film O Brother, Where Art Thou? But this is the first reissue of the record on LP, and it comes on the 70th anniversary of its release; we’ve remastered it for vinyl and pressed it in pink to match the album cover. Guaranteed to make the hairs on your neck stand at attention!

: LIVE AT THE LION’S SHARE JULY 12, 1970 (REMASTERED 2-LP BLACK VINYL EDITION & COMPACT DISC EDITION)

STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 20, 2026 True story: about ten years ago we contacted the Mose Allison estate because we had stumbled on a very good recording of a 1966 gig at Club 47 in Boston, and we wanted to release it with the estate’s blessing. But, as these things often do, the discussions never came to fruition, and we moved on, but we remained convinced that Mose was definitely an artist best experienced live (as his widow Audre quipped to us at the time, “He always thought that going to a recording studio to record was like having a business card printed”). Well, earlier this year we were contacted by Mose’s daughter Amy and the co-producer of this set, Pat Thomas, with a new tape that had surfaced, a 17-track, 70-minute recording of a July 12, 1970 show at the Marin County club The Lion’s Share that absolutely BLEW AWAY our earlier, 1966 candidate for release, both with respect to fidelity and performance. In fact, this just might be the definite live Mose Allison document. First of all, the set captures Mose with his preferred Bay Area rhythm section of Clyde Flowers on bass and Lee Charlton (who recorded the show) on drums, the same team that appeared on 1972’s live classic Mose in Your Ear. But what sets this record apart is that Mose never thought this date would be released as a live recording. As a result, you’re getting Mose at his freest, spryest, and slyest, displaying that impossibly effortless combination of wildly inventive piano riffing, brilliantly sophisticated songwriting (featuring such favorites as “Wild Man on the Loose” and “You Can Count on Me to Do My Part”), and offhand, nonchalant swagger that only he could pull off. As Skip Heller (who saw Mose play about 75 times) puts it in his liner notes, “This is Mose Allison, exactly the way most of us remember.” For this very special release, we’ve commissioned three sets of liner notes, one a fond remembrance from Amy Allison (complete with pictures from the family archives), and one by Pat Thomas offering a rock and roller’s perspective on the Allison legacy to go along with Skip’s notes. The entire set’s been remastered by Mike Milchner at Sonic Vision, and the album art is drawn from a period concert poster. Available on a double-LP inside a gatefold jacket, or on CD. The Grass Roots were, without a doubt, one of the great singles bands of the ‘60s and early ‘70s. So, why did it take so long to put together a collection of their complete, original Dunhill/ABC hit singles? Well, there’s the little matter of the original mono master tapes. There are various stories about what happened, including one with Dunhill head Jay Lasker pitching all the label’s multi-track recordings and mono masters after having deemed them obsolete. And so the classic hit singles by the Grass Roots for the most part only surfaced in their stereo album versions on the various anthologies of the band. But when the going gets tough for a reissue label, Real Gone Music gets going. After a worldwide search for the best sources available, we rounded up all two dozen Dunhill/ABC hit singles (including the censored and uncensored versions of “Let’s Live for Today” and their biggest smash, “Midnight Confessions”) and put them together into one AMAZINGsounding package that we released back in 2014! Indeed, this collection offers the truest essence of the band—those hook-filled singles in that glorious, original mono sound mixed and mastered to punch through ‘60s and ‘70s AM radio. And, by covering the years 1965 to 1973, The Grass Roots: The Complete Original Dunhill/ABC Hit Singles also provides a fantastic overview of the group’s tangled history and many line-ups—all meticulously explained by Ed Osborne’s liner notes—with late lead singer Rob Grill the closest to a career-long member (their first two singles featured Bill Fulton on vocals). Now, we’re thrilled to announce that not only have we resurrected this highly-prized and long out-of-print retrospective on CD, but we are also releasing it on vinyl for the first time, in a blockbuster double-LP set pressed on green grass vinyl and housed inside a gatefold jacket! This’ll be the first time almost all of these mono singles have appeared on vinyl since their original 45 release!

2026 marks ten years since the planets aligned for the release of Channel The Spirits – the debut album by The Comet Is Coming. The trio of Shabaka, Danalogue and Betamax, powerful in their own right, transcended to another plane when united. Exploding In Slow Motion: The Complete Channel The Spirits Recordings 2013-2017CE celebrates that legacy by bringing together the original album, the Prophecy and Death To The Planet EPs and various rarities from the era, including four previously unreleased tracks. Released on coloured triple vinyl in a maximalist package, as well as a new double CD, the reissue sees Death To The Planet on CD for the first time, and seven tracks new to vinyl, including one completely new track unearthed from the band’s first ever recorded session. The Comet was first sighted in 2013, their reputation enhanced by tranformative live shows at the Total Refreshment Centre in east London and beyond. Their debut EP Prophecy arrived in a blaze of light and sound and word spread. Channel The Spirits followed and the wider world sat up and took notice, notably when the album was named a Mercury Music Prize album of the year in 2016. It was followed closely by the Death To The Planet EP – although death in this case was rebirth. And dancing. In 2019 the band signed for Impulse! and recorded two further albums – Trust In The Lifeforce Of The Deep Mystery and Hyper-Dimensional Expansion Beam, plus The Afterlife EP. It took The Comet Is Coming global, with tours across five continents. The Comet Is Coming burned bright for a relatively short time but touched everyone who witnessed them in action - a spiritual union of exceptional musicianship, utter conviction and a rare ability to channel the energy of the

Domino is thrilled to announce that they’ve welcomed RÓIS, Dublin-based composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist to the label. Domino will be re-releasing a remastered version of her critically acclaimed album, MO LÉAN, an affecting resuscitation of the ardent rituals surrounding death in Ireland until the 1950s. MO LÉAN – RÓIS’ second album - is a remarkable testament to Connolly’s affecting artistry. Anchoring the album is a desire to recontextualize the celebration of death. Drawing from elements synonymous with the country’s DNA: traditional sean-nós tunes, the Irish language and the omnipresent toll of the Angelus – RÓIS carries them into the modern day with her unique approach to melody and production as well as her electrifying vocal performances. The album explores the Irish pagan tradition of caoineadh, or keening which was an integral part of the mourning process, during which veiled women gathered around the body to sing and howl. Taking place over several days, these wakes became joyously unruly sessions during which music, dance and storytelling emboldened the essence of the deceased as they began a new chapter in their life cycle. However, in the middle of the Twentieth Century, these traditions were suppressed as the Catholic Church decreed a total termination on all public lamentation. Later, the impact of colonization sealed its fate through the decimation of the Irish language, and wiping out the rural communities that kept the tradition alive. Across MO LÉAN, RÓIS performs a resuscitation of the ardent rituals surrounding death and throws open the doors that tried to hide away such inherent and important ways of Irish life. MO LÉAN was awarded the Album of the Year title at the NI Music Prize and was shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize. Praise for RÓIS’s idiosyncratic style continued throughout 2025 with ‘Caoine’ being named Best Original Folk Track at the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards, where she also took home the Best Emerging Artist award.

After over 20 years as a professional musician, acclaimed singer-songwriter Matthew Barber embraced a new role when he became a father. In 2026, being a stay at home dad isn’t an oddity, but leaving a life of touring to raise his two young sons was a dramatic shift. But how does one decide to put touring on the shelf and focus on family? We get a hint on lead single “These Days”. “It’s a celebration of domestic bliss” says Barber. “It’s a snapshot of the day to day flow of work and family, acknowledging the long and winding journey from initial lustful attraction to diapers and daycare. It’s about partnership and a deep appreciation for good fortune against all odds.” Becoming a parent forces one to look in the mirror and ask, “how can I be a better person?” and “how can we make the world a better place?” and these themes weave their way throughout Find The Time, a record that explores the transformational nature of parenthood. Of the title track Barber says, “It’s about getting older and becoming more aware of the fact that our time on earth is finite. It is a melancholic reflection on the struggle to live up to ideals, but also a rallying cry to never give up doing what you do, for your own sake and for those who depend on you.” Find The Time is about finding joy in the place you’re at in life. From indie darling to major label radio star to acclaimed folk troubadour and in his latest role as Dad, Matthew Barber is eternally grateful for the opportunity to make music. There will be more tour dates to come, but this time next to the cables and guitars, he’ll be strapping in some car seats.

LIVE 1982 ‘83 LP BACK IN PRINT ON RED VINYL! VOID - LIVE 1982 ‘83 – roaring out of the vault after 40+ years, this live recording from Dischord’s most volatile and energetic band sounds just as fresh and urgent as the day it was captured. Originally released earlier this year, we sold out of the clear vinyl so quickly that we knew we had to get this back in print. We also discovered that we didn’t properly label the tapes when it was originally pressed, and that both sides of this LP are from a show at the Wilson Center in July of 1983! We’ve made some small changes to the artwork, but we’d like everyone to know that this is the exact same recording as the clear vinyl pressing. The A-side boasts classic tracks from the legendary Faith/Void record, such as “Ask Them Why”, “Ignorant People” and a particularly incendiary version of “Who Are You?” with Bubba Dupree’s riffs and John Weiffenbach’s vocals scraping right up to the edge of madness. The B-side mixes hardcore classics like “Time To Die”, “My Rules” and “Organized Sports” alongside newer, metal-tinged tracks like “Bloodlust” that would go on to influence a whole new genre of music. The show was recorded by Tom Lyle from Government Issue, with photos from titan of the scene Jim Saah and art from longtime Dischord designer Jason Farrell. Void – Live 1982 ‘83 is an incredible collection from one of DC’s most influential bands. Back in print on red vinyl, this LP pairs perfectly with the Faith – Live at CBGB’s LP, also back in print on red vinyl! Khudgarzi (Selfishness) is a woman’s forensic deep dive into the space between duty and autonomy; sacrifice and survival. While at work on her anticipated debut full-length album, Sheherazaad found herself obsessed with the plight of the so-called Khudgarz Aurat — The Selfish Woman. It was a charge she’d heard since childhood, levelled at eccentric women whose desire for agency was often met with an awful end. “Selfishness became a kind of silent prayer,” Sheherazaad reflects. “A portal into a haunted universe of anxieties and desires. I was made to fear a ‘selfish’ kind of woman — embracing her felt like stepping into a forbidden forest I'd been running away from.” The emotional undertow of Khudgarzi was shaped by personal rupture. Written in the wake of a broken engagement, the album carries the debris of rage and guilt — fear of an inner monster, and the sense of not having been enough, or having given too much, to a partner, to a family, to an inherited moral economy. Sheherazaad invokes the “Selfish Women”, seeking their felt presence through fantastical allegory and invented cosmology. The resulting 10-track debut album serves as an oral archive for women who shapeshift between storytellers, courtesans, historians, survivors, and crucially, witnesses. In this living anthology, Sheherazaad does not equate feminine survival with purity, but rather, depicts it as a complex exercise in strategy, performance, and adaptation. Her characters are in one moment goddesses, and in the next, serial killers; Sheherazaad’s vocality steers this absurd caravan ahead steadily as its eccentric ringleader. Musically, Khudgarzi deepens the wilderness of Sheherazaad’s signature folk noir, dark pop soundscape while decisively thrusting forward into unchartered terrain. Along the way, instruments from Hindustani, Turkish, Arabic, and Carnatic traditions — tanbur, santoor, veena, rabab, ghatam, gungaroo — are interwoven with weather noise, and sounds from the human or animal body: gushing water, hot winds and exhales, cavernous echoes, moans and grunts. Mostly sung in Urdu, with passages in English and Tamil, the album’s linguistic choices reflect layered engagements with personal and colonial legacies: split identities, and unbelonging. Sheherazaad assumes the infantile innocence of a nonnative speaker and teases at their semantic weight and depths of possibility. A lush ecosystem of 30+ genre-chaotic musicians — including Ria Modak, Sarathy Korwar, Jay Chakravorty, Shunya, and Qasim Naqvi — merge together on the record. Longingly, Sheherazaad invites other emerging South Asian femme voices like Irfana and Daatri Dadhich to rise alongside her own as sympathetic co-narrators. “We were taught there could be only one of us at the table,” says Sheherazaad, on her keenness to shed the ‘self’ during production, where contrary to the album genesis around ‘selfishness’ there were “ample milestones of togetherness and generosity to be shared.” In Khudgarzi, selfishness is neither villain nor virtue. It is a condition — an instinct, a reclamation. By refusing resolution, the album leaves space for the listener’s own negotiations with selfhood versus sacrifice. What emerges is not a manifesto, but a playground of contradictions — a warm abyss coaxing us into our own solitude.

Marcel Dettmann - My Own Shadow: Album For over three decades, Berlin-based DJ, producer, and curator Marcel Dettmann has remained a central force in electronic music, continuously pushing the boundaries of the craft. Deeply rooted in early influences ranging from post-punk and industrial to synth-pop, his dynamic DJ sets and expansive discography, including seminal releases on Ostgut Ton and Dekmantel, effortlessly weave together raw techno, Chicago house, electro, and avant-garde soundscapes. Far beyond club booths and releases on his own imprints, MDR and Bad Manners, Dettmann’s multidisciplinary ethos has led him into artistic territories spanning gallery soundscapes, ballet compositions, and cinematic film scores. This relentless creative curiosity defines a career built at the intersection of dancefloor functionality, collaborative experimentation, and perpetual sonic evolution. Dettmann introduced My Own Shadow last year, a project where music, visual art, and photography converged in two EPs, Approaching (2025) and Faultline (2026) prior to the release of the full album this coming Autumn. More than just a name, this project lets sound, image, and vision blend organically, reflecting his intuitive process of deconstruction, resonance, and emotional discovery. Speaking about the project Marcel says “My Own Shadow wasn’t born from a big concept. I simply liked the idea of working under another name and started following it. Different things I was doing music, photography, visual work - slowly began to connect. It happened quite naturally. My Own Shadow is me - just seen from another perspective.” Neither an alter ego nor a departure, My Own Shadow: Album is an intimate reflection of the artist; a transient, ever-shifting form that dances with the light and subtly reshapes its contours to reveal new depths. My Own Shadow: Album is built with textural minimalism through rhythm, tension and release, embarking on a path through the recollections and experience of the dancefloor. This space remains the ultimate proving ground where history, instinct, and transcendence collide, guiding Dettmann through his musical interests. My Own Shadow - Album is driven by rhythm, texture, space and tension. Across tracks such as ‘Gravitational Scar’ and ‘Resolution Vector’, these elements are constantly reshaped, connecting Dettmann’s past with a sound that remains firmly in motion.

OVERVIEW: With “Aion’s Light”, Blood and Sun’s third full-length album, Luke Tromiczak brings his vision of American neofolk back to its rawest foundations while pushing further into the borderlands between song, spell, and memory. The album was recorded entirely on the same Tascam 414 four-track cassette portastudio used for Blood and Sun’s earliest demo. Songs were written and tracked in the order they appear, effects were committed to tape, and each bounced-down instrument narrowed the path ahead. Every decision carried weight; raw instinct became part of the final form. Musically, “Aion’s Light” stands somewhere between 70s folk songcraft, underground black metal spirit, and the eerie atmospheres of B-movie horror soundtracks. Echoes of Scott Walker, Of the Wand and the Moon, Woven Hand, Swans, Dave Bixby, Exuma, Leonard Cohen, and Storm can be felt throughout. Guitar chords are hammered into place as a foundation for bass, keyboards, percussion, and voice; sparse arrangements gather weight through repetition, atmosphere, and the grain of the recording itself.

TRACKS

ABOUT THE ALBUM This is the Dahmers third album “Creature Feature” and the band continues to dig deeper in to a world of dark things, the things that don't belong, provokes, gives you the creeps or just makes you want to look away. “Our vision has been to explore and develop the bands sound but also to maintain the bands profound and colorful essence. We want people to feel good when they hear the album, take them with us to another planet and make 'em forget about all the trouble in the world for a while” - Christoffer Karlsson (Vocal/guitar) The album was recorded and co-produced by Johan Gustafsson aka “The Johan and only” from the Hives in studio Ingrid in Stockholm. There's a new level and feel to the production with guest musicians on some tracks. With instruments like brass, cello, flute and piano the songs reaches their full true potential, along with added synth elements this gives the band a fresh feel. There's a wide variety of songs on the album where every track has it's very own theme, sound and characteristics. Where deep subjects like darkness, sorrow and alienation being explored along with the bands continuing homage to the classic slasher and giallo flicks of the 70's and 80's, but also songs about a Swedish fakir, cults, rats and creatures from outer space. This album is a celebration to trash culture and to the underdogs, all delivered with that catchy uplifting chorus The Dahmers do best. Creature Feature is out on the bands own label Eerie sounds and was first released on Friday the 13th in February 2026.

MORABEZA TOBACCO It’s Only Heaven US street date: November 20, 2026 | Format: 180g 12″ LP / Digital | Lead single: “Famine” | Cat. No: DREAM27 | Label: Dream On

Morabeza Tobacco’s career has existed in a state of perfected separation: like a mirage, they operate in the global cloud while remaining all but invisible on the sidewalks of Mariatorget. Their third album, It’s Only Heaven, is a détournement of their own success; a homecoming to Stockholm. This is music formulated with the kind of cool that only arrives once you’ve stopped asking for permission. Vanilla Stillefors and Gustav Jennefors channel the ethereal distance of A.R. Kane and mornings on the white shores of Formentera. The local emerges in the details: in the light of a worn tobacco shop and in the decision to — finally — take their place. The mirage has found an address. MORABEZA TOBACCO is a Swedish duo based in Stockholm. They have previously released the albums Morabeza Tobacco (2019) and Shadow of the Cherry (2022). It’s Only Heaven is their first album on Dream On. On his sophomore solo release, Foreword, Wayne Faler (formerly of L.A.’s paisley-pop band Dream Boys) continues to expand the moody landscape of his self-titled debut. Featuring atmospheric pedal steel and 12-string acoustics, the album blends brooding ’80s new wave with dreamy vocal harmonies—a combination Faler describes as “Echo and the Bunnymen meets the Everly Brothers.” He has played and recorded with numerous groups in L.A, including Nic Hessler (Captured Tracks), Devon Williams (Slumberland Records), and Bart Davenport (Bart and the Bedazzled) and was a founding member of Dream Boys. The band gained attention for its jangly, C86-style guitar riffs and three-part harmonies, and went on to release two albums and open for bands like Real Estate and Allah-Las. For Foreword, his first release on Curation Records, Faler combines the melancholy textures of New Wave with Americana and Dream Pop. The album, which features a handful of songs written soon after moving to California as well as more recent tracks, was recorded with the help of friends and former bandmates. For fans of Creation Records, 4AD/Beggars Banquet, Domino Records, and Curation Records. Marketing & Selling Points ●

The Lemonheads x The Bevis Frond – Roky/ The Great Big No/ My Drug Buddy

The Lemonheads release a strictly limited edition 12” single on 21st September featuring three classic tracks on white vinyl. Lead cut is ‘Roky’, Evan Dando’s homage to the late, great outsider genius Roky Erickson (of garage psyche legends 13th Floor Elevator and much solo strangeness). "If Roky Erickson had vanished from the face of the earth after The 13th Floor Elevators released their epochal debut single, ‘You're Gonna Miss Me’, in early 1966, in all likelihood he'd still be regarded as a legend among garage rock fanatics for his primal vocal wailing and feral harmonica work." AllMusic

Artist: The Lemonheads x The Bevis Frond

‘Roky’ is Evan's incisive take on the songwriter’s struggles and features a searing guitar break from the song's co-writer Nick Saloman (The Bevis Frond)

Title: Roky/ The Great Big No/ My Drug Buddy Release date: 2026-11-20 Label: Fire Records

The Bevis Frond toured with The Lemonheads in support of the latter’s much-praised ‘Love Chant’ album of 2025 from where ‘Roky’ originally comes. And, to complete this unique package, the Frond cover two Lemonheads’ songs, ‘The Great Big No’ and ‘My Drug Buddy’; both sounding like the kind of UK-based left field power pop that inspired Kurt Cobain in the formative days of grunge – indeed, they could have snook out on the original Rough Trade or 53rd & 3rd labels at any time.

Track List

Fact fans looking for Roky-styled curveball ley line between events, might note that The Lemonheads covered The Bevis Frond’s ‘Old Man Blank’ on 2019’s ‘Varshons II’, the same year that Roky sadly passed.

The album’s striking artwork depicts Arca as a biomechanical entity, accompanied by two owls—symbols of protection and the underworld in Greek mythology. Like the music itself, the imagery inhabits a space between worlds where transformation is both terrifying and liberatory. Suspended between posthuman augmentation and raw emotion, XXXXX exposes the mainframe. It is a record born from uncertainty, contradiction, instinct, and surrender—a becoming-machine that continues Arca’s lifelong project of redefining what it means to be human both in, and against, the machine. For Arca, rebirth has never been a metaphor, but a practice. She continues to exist in multiple states simultaneously, collapsing boundaries between human and machine, high and low culture, and experimental noise and pop music. Following her first-ever painting exhibition at London’s ICA earlier this year, XXXXX arrives as the latest transmission from a continuously evolving creative process. Over the last year, Arca has remained prolific: unveiling the double-sided single “Puta” / “Sola”; remixing tracks for Addison Rae, Robyn, and Hikaru Utada; collaborating with Tokischa on “Chama”; and contributing production to Madonna’s CONFESSIONS II. She walked the runways and made appearances at major international fashion weeks, while also composing the original motion picture soundtrack for Stillz’s film, Barrio Triste.

Poison Idea’s punishing debut was released in 1983, a few years after the band formed in Portland, Oregon. At this juncture, the band consisted of founder and enormous frontman Jerry A., guitarist Tom Roberts – later to be rechristened Pig Champion, due to his porcine build, bassist Chris Tense, and drummer Dean Johnson. Already, Jerry A. sang like a man in the middle of a heartattack, bellowing furiously, frighteningly. In other words, the template was being created for albums to follow. With Pick Your King – a reference to Elvis and Jesus, Poison Idea helped establish the paradigm for aggressive American hardcore punk.

OLD 97’S • COLOR VINYL RE-ISSUES OLD 97’s VINYL BACK IN PRINT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 10 YEARS. PRESSED ON COLOR VINYL. STREET DATE: NOVEMBER 27, 2026 Four out-of-print Old 97’s albums are finally back — and for the first time ever, pressed on color vinyl. Each title returns as a limitededition marble pressing: Sunflower Marble (Blame It On Gravity), Moonlight Blue Marble (Drag It Up Deluxe Edition), Whiskey Marble (Grand Theatre Volume One), and Smoke Marble (Grand Theatre Vol. 2).

Drag It Up (2004) was the Dallas band’s first album after a three-year break, recorded partly inside a converted 19th-century church at Dreamland Studios in Hurley, NY. It reached #120 on the Billboard 200 and was hailed as “joyous alt-country” by Cleveland Scene. Blame It On Gravity (2008) marked a return to form, tightening the band’s sound and channeling the pop energy of Too Far to Care. It hit #85 on the Billboard 200, earned an A- from Robert Christgau, and NPR called it “their best album in seven years.” The Grand Theatre Volume One and Vol. 2 grew from the same sessions — the band road-tested new songs during a residency at Dallas’s Sons of Hermann Hall, then cut over two dozen tracks at Treefort Studios in Austin. The best became Volume One (2010), which includes “Champaign, Illinois,” a rewrite of Bob Dylan’s “Desolation Row” that Dylan approved and let the band credit as a cowrite. The rest became Vol. 2 (2011), a rare two-part song cycle in the band’s catalog. Out of print for over a decade, all four albums return November 27, 2026, as limited-edition color vinyl — a milestone reissue campaign for one of alt-country’s most enduring bands, in their original packaging, marking each title’s first-ever color pressing.

BUDDY MILLER

Nothing But a Child / On The Road to Bethlehem Street Date: November 27, 2026 Track Listing SIDE A 1. Nothing But a Child (feat. Julie Miller) SIDE B 2. On The Road to Bethlehem (feat. Sarah Buxton)

7” Vinyl Sel. #: NW6631LP CONFIG: Red 7” Vinyl, Jacket, Marketing Sticker UPC: 607396663118 Box Lot: 50 Count Genre:Christmas, Americana, Country, Singer-Songwriter

Don’t forget to stock up and re-order the latest self-titled release from Buddy Miller. CD Buddy Miller has spent three decades as one of Americana’s most trusted voices — a GRAMMY-winning guitarist, producer, and songwriter whose fingerprints are all over records by Emmylou Harris, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, and Steve Earle. Now he brings that same lived-in warmth to the holidays, pairing a devotional original from Julie Miller with a beloved Steve Earle classic on a strictly limited red 7” vinyl pressing — the kind of collectible that turns up under the tree and stays in rotation every December after. Side A, “Nothing But a Child,” is Steve Earle’s enduring nativity ballad, and Miller treats it like a hymn — spare, hushed, and aching with reverence. It’s a wise-men’s journey that lands on the oldest Christmas truth there is: sometimes it takes nothing but a child to lead a weary world back into the light. Side B, “On the Road to Bethlehem,” is a Julie Miller original built on a gently rolling gospel pulse — an open-armed invitation to the needy, the sick, and the sinful alike. It’s mercy set to melody, and it plays beautifully against Earle’s classic. Two songs, one gorgeous red disc, and a whole lot of Christmas spirit from an artist revered across Americana, country, and roots music. This is a must-stock for holiday endcaps, gift shoppers, and the collectors who chase every limited Buddy Miller pressing. BUDDYMILLER.COM NEWWESTRECORDS.COM

OVERVIEW:

Trondheim’s progressive flagship Arabs in Aspic delivers yet another long-awaited release on the renowned label Karisma Records, marking their strong partnership with the brand-new studio album «Sorgens kapittel» on Wednesday, October 21st 2026. This will be a highly special and emotional release for the band. The album is being releasedon what would have been the 50th birthday of the band’s longtime organist and vocalist, StigArve Kvam-Jørgensen, who passed away suddenly in 2025. The album title «Sorgens kapittel» sets a deep and personal frame around the band’s newest work, serving both as a processing of the loss and a tribute to his musical legacy. Musically, this is a dark and heavy album, but in classic Arabs fashion it is all balanced with a generous dose of humor and a glint in the eye. The songs on «Sorgens kapittel» are written entirely in Norwegian, making the lyrics colorful and vivid for those who understand the language, and exotic for those who do not. After more than 20 years at the forefront of Norwegian prog rock, the band continues its unique retro-progressive sound. The listener is taken on an uncompromising journey marked by heavy riffs, intricate vocal harmonies, and classic 70s nostalgia — led by the massive wall of screaming Hammond organ, Fender Rhodes, vintage synths, heavy guitars, and funky bass lines that Stig Arve helped shape over decades. For new listeners, it should also be mentioned that the band has two drummers, so rhythmically there is a lot to follow both live and on record with Arabs in Aspic. With a focus on their native language, the lyrics reflect on human destinies, grief, the absurdities of everyday life, and the challenges of modern society, delivering MARKETING & PROMOTION / SELLING POINTSa raw, organic, and dynamic listening experience. The album will be available on CD, a limited number of colored vinyl in three editions, and on all digital streaming King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Høst, Uriah Heep and Ruphus • For fans of: services from October 21st. • Digipak CD and Gatefold LP with stunning art by longtime Arabs collaborator Julia Proszowska • Limited LP versions on Cloudy and Marble vinyl (300 copies each) • A heartfelt and touching tribute to the late Stig Arve Kvam-Jørgensen • Recorded at Børse Studio by Jostein Smedby and mastered at Cuttingroom in Stockholm. • Digital single: Siste Dans (single edit) (30. SAYNAVE Did you See the Flowers

ABOUT THE ALBUM Did You See the Flowers? is about the strange relationship between ambition and gratitude. Saynave has spent years grinding and working towards whatever is next (the next song, the next opportunity, the next level). This album is an expression of gratitude. We spend all of our lives on a journey but never stop to appreciate the beauty that is around us. Family, children, successes: these are the flowers. Did you see them? Coming from New Jersey and now rooted in Philadelphia, Saynave is not just a hip-hop artist & producer; he's a storyteller of the modern Black experience in America. Infusing East Coast boom bap era with today's sound, he seamlessly bridges generations. Beyond catchy hooks and beats, Saynave crafts anthems that resonate deeply — capturing the energy, challenges, and triumphs of navigating life as a father, husband and a black man. Saynave doesn't just make music; he sparks conversations. Drawing from his experiences in corporate America, the intricacies of marriage, and the joys and challenges of fatherhood, he crafts narratives that are both personal and universally relatable. As a champion of the #BlackExcellence movement, Saynave proudly wears his culture on his sleeve, addressing poignant issues like colorism, gun violence, and the societal implications of figures like Bill Cosby.

Goat – Goat (2026 Yellow Smoke Vinyl Re-Press) Rocket Recordings

LP

LAUNCH363SR

2026-11-27

5056688856960

Repress of 2024’s self titled masterpiece. The Ouroborus - that is, the icon of the snake or dragon eating its own tail - appears to some a statement of the brutality of nature. To others of a Gnostic disposition it symbolises the duality of the divine and earthly in mankind. But most commonly, it’s taken simply to mean the endless cycles of death and rebirth that characterise life on this planet. As such, it’s an image that looms large in the world of Goat, the evermysterious and endlessly revivifying collective whose latest album marks another adventure above and beyond this particular plane of reality. This may be a band that has named albums both Requiem and Oh Death, yet this eponymous salvo proves yet again that transcendence and metamorphosis are their watchwords. Goat sees this ever-unpredictable outfit summoning rhythmically-driven rituals in unmistakable, uplifting and scintillating style, equally adept at igniting dancefloors and expanding minds.

Very rare and unreleased songs from The Church's Steve Kilbey. "Whilst compiling and sorting through the Steve Kilbey solo catalogue I came across a great many songs that had no particular home. They were good songs, strong and passionate but with scant information about them and mostly hidden away in a darkened room or wandering empty streets in hope of being played. I pulled out some of these tracks and saved them in a ‘to do’ file. Later on, I found that I had also acquired some wonderful radio sessions thanks to fans and collectors for pointing me in the right direction. These also hadn’t been heard by most fans either. Over a year I messed about with these tracks and felt close to them so much so that I thought I must create an album to home them." - Easy Action

Flowers Must Die – Tystnad Rocket Recordings

LP

LAUNCH448

2026-11-27

The word ‘Tystnad’ – literally translated – means silence. In this case, the Silence is less that of zen buddhism or that of John Cage, rather the name of the studio where Flowers Must Die – carriers of the torch of Swedish psychedelia for now nearly 20 years – retreated to make their most head-expanding album to date. Located near the Norwegian border in the verdant rural Värmland region, Silence Studios has been a countercultural hub for decades, attaining a legendary status as a residential outpost where bands can retreat to stretch out creatively and focus their psychic powers. From just such origins, Flowers Must Die have crafted a collection of expansive and incandescent jams that maps out a lysergic trajectory between the idealistic, anything-goes mania of early ‘70s psychedelia and the 21st century. Tystnad is the sound of a band buoyed by the afterglow of their last Rocket release, 2017’s Kompost and its attendant touring, and expanding into extrapolations that marry the wildest free improv with haunting melody. If Tystnad, as the band claim, is to be their last recording made in one room at the same time, then it displays a formidable escape velocity. Who’s to say whether Flowers Must Die have tapped into a Swedish continuum, one including the like of Pärson Sound, Dungen or Goat. What’s clear is that Tystnad is a timeless treatise, and a potent channeling of spirits –transcending genre in search of enlightenment anew.

The Leaf Library – Library Music: Volume 2 Where It’s At Is Where You Are

WIA130LP

2026-11-27

5063720382226

Following the much-loved Library Music: Volume One (2022), and hot on the heels of this year’s critically acclaimed ‘After The Rain, Strange Seeds’ (9/10 - Uncut) , London group The Leaf Library return with a second journey through the margins of their catalogue. Gathering together rare recordings, compilation tracks, limited edition releases, collaborations and hidden gems from their ever-expanding musical world, Library Music: Volume Two is another vibrant and varied collection of electronic indie pop, in all its guises. Far from a conventional odds and ends collection, the double LP compilation reveals another side of a band who have always treated the spaces between albums as places to explore. These are the moments where ideas stretch out; there are hypnotic drones, motorik rhythms, glowing analogue textures, pastoral electronics and the warm, melodic melancholy that has become unmistakably The Leaf Library. There is the electro-pop of Flowers At The Border, the psych rock-adjacent Building Better Worlds, and the gentle chamber shuffle of Kendrick Road. Tracks range from the 22 minute folk kosmiche epic Versatile Clouds to the 59 seconds, record skip punctuation mark of Harmonic Runout, with a whole array of trips, ideas and experiments in between. Since forming in a pre-Ghost Box, Castles in Space and Clay Pipe world, The Leaf Library have carved out a unique place somewhere between dream pop, kosmische repetition and experimental songcraft — drawing comparisons to Stereolab, Broadcast, Yo La Tengo and the outer edges of library music, while creating a sound entirely their own. Where their studio albums have shown the group carefully building immersive worlds, the Library Music series maps the pathways between them — the sketches, diversions and unexpected discoveries that often reveal the most about a band.

Ye Gods – Los Rocket Recordings

In William Blake’s Jerusalem, he argues that imagination itself is “The real and eternal world of which this vegetable universe is but a faint shadow” – it seems Antoni Maiovvi, would agree. Especially given that Ye Gods, his latest and most monolithic project to date, arrived directly from a dream. In this dream, Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke took him to task for easing off on his longtime study of hermetic ritual magick, and instructed him to atone by making a record under the name Ye Gods. Convinced this path was the correct one, he was duty bound to comply. And sure enough, the Ye Gods project began to evolve and metamorphosise, until this vehicle for ‘Occult Devotional Electronics’, became a beast capable of delivering ‘Los’ the towering and transformative new album for Rocket Recordings. Rich with texture, emotive songcraft and cinematic atmosphere across three expansive tracks, it’s a work that breaks new ground for this intrepid polymath.
