Lutheran Church of the Redeemer’s Statement of Welcome We serve a God of abundant grace and generosity. Our worship is centered on the invitation that Christ offers at the communion table: all are welcome in this place. That welcome flows through all we do and say. We open our arms to everyone who comes to share our love of God and all God’s people. We affirm and value the lives of everyone, including all who have been marginalized by ability, age, gender, gender identity, mental or physical health, poverty, race, sexual orientation, or any other circumstance. Let our message be clear: all are welcome to participate fully in the life of our congregation.

SUNDAY Link to: Submit prayer requests Live Streamed Zoom Communion following postlude Join us for Worship this Sunday | 9:00 am & 11:00 am Sixteenth Sunday after Pentecost Pastor Mark H. Larson, preaching The theme of the Day In today’s second reading Paul questions why we judge one another, since we all stand before the judgment of God. Yet we do sin against one another, and Jesus’ challenge that we forgive seventy-seven times reveals God’s boundless mercy. When we hear the words of forgiveness in worship and sign ourselves with the cross, we are renewed in baptism to be signs of reconciliation in the world.

This fall, join Pastor Mark for a thoughtful and engaging study of Peter Enns' How the Bible Actually Works. Community MARK YOUR CALENDAR! More information coming soon... Streets Alive — September 27 Pride Sunday — October 11 Celebration of Ministries — October 18 Gently used Baseball Equipment Needed One of our new Nicaraguan friends, Mike, served as a translator on our recent medical mission trip. He also coaches youth baseball for approximately 150 boys and shared with us a need for used baseballs, bats, gloves, and softballs for young athletes in Nicaragua. Participating in these teams provides more than an opportunity to play—it helps foster Christian values, fellowship, teamwork, and scholastic achievement among young men ages 12–17. If you have gently used baseball equipment to share, please place your donations in the container in the coat rack area marked “Nicaragua Baseball Equipment.” Thank you for helping support these young athletes and their communities! Summer Stitches Ministry Challenge The Prayer Shawl Ministry invites the congregation to participate in Summer Stitches: Faithful Hands and Sacred Makers by knitting or crocheting hats, scarves, prayer shawls, and other handmade items for those in need of warmth, comfort, and prayer. Project Guidelines: Scarves should be at least 60 inches long. Superwash yarn is preferred. Free patterns and yarn are available. Beginners are welcome—help is available for anyone interested in learning to knit or crochet. Please place completed items in the Summer Stitches collection box in Room 119. For more information, patterns, or assistance, contact Pat Cornwell at jpcorn90@gmail.com. Join us in sharing God's love through the gift of handmade care and comfort.
