NOTICE OF CONGREGATIONAL MEETING March 27, 2022 Meetings to be held live & virtually following both Sunday worship services The meeting will serve as the Annual Meeting of the congregation. Journeying our Neighborhood Sundays after the 11 AM Service Meet Pastor Jenny McLellan following worship in the Sims Atrium to walk through our neighborhood, pray for our neighbors and partners in ministry. The walk will be approximately 1 mile.
To people with a disability and their caregivers, a world that's built for typical people can feel like a wilderness even on a 'normal' day. Join us as we walk with them and recognize the gifts they have to offer on our journey together in this Lenten season. Today’s service will on Zoom only. Midtown Prayer Wall Our Midtown Prayer Portal, Redeemer's Prayer Wall is now in place along Peachtree St. The prayers of our neighbors and the Midtown community began filling up the wall on Shrove Tuesday after Pastor Mark blessed and prayed over the wall and our community. Our Community Engagement Team, led by Co-chairs Carol Maxwell and Carol Swisher, and other members and friends began to welcome and engage in conversations with our neighbors over Krispy Kremes, Cokes, and Mardi Gras beads and by inviting them to write their prayers for peace and healing on the wall. Christina, a young Jewish woman with family in Kyiv, Ukraine was the first to take the chalk and write a prayer to God for her family and people in Ukraine. Many others followed offering prayers for new jobs, relief from debts, healing for friends and family, for humanity, and world peace.
One person prayed: God Please Come Back! expressing, perhaps, the pleas of many in our neighborhood and world today. The frightening war in Ukraine and its people is especially on our hearts and minds today. We know that people everywhere have a need to pray and our Prayer Wall offers another portal. Each day, pictures are taken of the prayers to be incorporated within the prayers of Redeemer and its Prayer Warriors. Also, Mary Howle developed and placed a QR Code on the wall which, by placing one's smartphone camera over the code can open up Redeemer's prayer portal which can be utilized when and wherever one is at the time. Please pray for those who post prayers for God on the wall and visit the Prayer Wall when you are in Midtown during Lent and Holy Week to offer a prayer and even meet a neighbor at the wall.

Journeying the Labyrinth Wednesdays, 10:30-12:30, 6:00-8:00 In the Sims Atrium As early as the 4th century, labyrinths have been included in Christian settings as a tool for prayer and meditation. The ancient imagery of the circle and spiral combine into a meandering but purposeful journey to our own center and back again out into the world. You are invited to walk Redeemer's Santa Rosa Labyrinth this Lent. The Labyrinth will be set up every Wednesday throughout the season of Lent, beginning on Ash Wednesday, March 2, through April 6. Bach Birthday Bash Friday, March 18, 2022 | 7:30 PM Please join us for our annual celebration of the birthday of one of the world’s greatest composers, Johann Sebastian Bach. One of Redeemer’s favorite traditions for over 25 years, the concert features Redeemer’s own talented musicians, including cellist Jonathan Fuller; Sarah Hawbecker, and Sam Long on both organ and piano; a vocal ensemble from the Redeemer Choir; and the Carillon Ringers handbell choir. You’ll hear both familiar and lesser-known works, and the party will continue in Sims Atrium following the concert with birthday treats and the singing of “Happy birthday” to Herr Bach. The concert is free, and all are welcome!
