Isaiah declares that when we loose the bonds of injustice and share our bread with the hungry, the light breaks forth like the dawn. In another passage from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus, the light of the world, calls his followers to let the light of their good works shine before others Through baptism we are sent into the world to shine with the light of Christ.

On Sunday, January 8, we started using the chalices made by our 8th graders at 9 AM worship. Each 8th-grade Confirmation student had to answer the question, "What does Communion mean to you?" From 1/29-2/12, the chalice used was painted by Luke Kader This is Luke's interpretation: "My chalice represents the body and blood of Christ, my Savior, and Lord He died on the cross to save us from our sins And for this, I will always come to my eternal home with Christ in Heaven."
