Young Adult Lunch Together Sunday, May 1, 2022 Meet by the front red doors after the 11 am service and we will head to The Collective Food Hall. The LCFM, Hope thru Soap, and the City of Atlanta Public Defender’s Office is hosting a Springtime Celebration for our homeless community at Redeemer on Saturday, May 7 th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Hot showers, haircuts, clothing, food, music, and fun will be available for all. Feel free to join us for this wonderful outdoor outreach event for the community. Want to be a part of this exciting event? We are looking for several volunteers to assist with assembling meal bags and organizing clothing on the day of the event. Graduate Recognition Sunday, May 8 Graduates will receive a blessing during 11:00 worship, followed by a reception in Sims Atrium. Come Walk Through Redeemer History and Christian Symbols Around Us Friday, May 13th, 10:45 AM-11:45 AM Redeemer's Keystone Ministry presents a special walking tour through our congregation's history, the symbolism in our church, and the meaning of the stained glass windows. Led by lifelong Redeemer member and amateur historian Bob Gibeling, this interactive walk will combine explanations of the artistic beauty around us in our buildings and humorous Redeemer stories he has collected through the years. This event is for any interested Redeemer member or guest. We will gather at the historic Good Shepherd window in the upstairs chapel (elevator access available). to prevent hunger and homelessness in Atlanta. May is when the need increases with children out of school and not receiving free meals. There will be bins in the Sims Atrium in May where food can be dropped off and then taken to MAC. Join us for the Master Planning Kick-off following worship in the Sims Atrium. Music and Arts Camp – “Welcome to the Jungle” – June 13-17 Registration is now open. Rising kindergarteners through 6th graders will have a wild time with music, art, drama and more! The camp is from 9:00 am-4:00 pm, with free before and after-care. Tuition for the week is $165 and includes all activities, snacks, and a t-shirt. Sibling discounts apply, and financial need-based scholarships are available.
